Will the World End in One Year?

(sorry my vote is for yes)
surely the world would end in one or another year(you didn't mention it next year know)

the world and the solar system will be here for a long duration.

It is amusing to me. That people would believe something mystical from a pagan religion, based on no evidence whatsoever- as a real possibility- but dismiss out of hand many proven assertions from the scientific community - where evidence is the only guide.

BUT; it will feel like it....2012 will be a terrible year; financial collapse; the EU strengthening their hold on world-wide power;with Germany emerging a 3rd time as a dangerous power..the US Stock Market will be a blaze; and War will break out..the world will be shaken with Huge Natural catastrophes....and that's only the beginning...

i'm a christian and only true christians know, it is written in the bible that no one will ever know the true date of the end of the world. only God does. so how can anybody predict anything related? rebuke any christian that tells you "this date or that date is the end of the world" with the word of God.

If the religious fundamentalists (including the Christian Evangelical/Fundamentalists) of the world have their way, it would. But won't they be surprised when they don't get that "rapture" they keep talking about. Why would God want to save people that have no concern for God's creations that they willingly let them go extinct, and people that have been working so hard to destroy the Earth through overuse of fossil fuels, fracking, and nuclear reactors and fighting against safe, renewable energy sources, not to mention teaching hatred of other people and cultures?

Wouldn't that be crazy if it actually did end? Very few people really believe that it will happen, but what if, just what if, it does? Think about how nuts that would be if the Rapture begins. Kind of like that episode of American Dad. Think about waking up one morning to see people raising to heaven, and others remaining. Think about all those people who don't believe in God (Any one of our Gods), think how that would change everything, suddenly there is hard fact that religions are real. All of us that don't follow the bible remaining on Earth while a 7 year war with evil begins. Just think about that, the world drastically and permanently changed so suddenly. I mean there is virtually no chance that there is any truth to the world ending, but just imagine if it actually did happen. With our same thoughts as today, that its all false and the world will not end, but then getting hit with cold hard reality, and there is no fudging around, judgement day suddenly is upon all of man kind on Earth. No running, no hiding, no diplomacy, no councils of delegates to negotiate a truce. Just the cold hard reality that nothing will ever be the same, and that there is virtually no one on Earth that has done anything that actually mattered. Crazy man, just crazy.

Two thoughts. We're already in a war against evil. The rapture will make the population control freaks very happy. Won't have to feed a couple billion people.

This is stupid, the world is not going to end. May I remind of Y2K and how we were "supposed to" die in May earlier this year with the rapture. Its just more BS that is unneeded in the world.

and if it does, who cares the world ended, why would it matter? whether or not it ends life will or won't go on, no point worrying about it unless u know the cause and a way to prevent it in case such a event could possibly occur

This world is bound to end at one point or another. I mean unless we find a new world to move to (and have the ability to do so) our sun will end up swallowing us if something else doesn't do us in first.

Will the world end in 2012? I believe that is utter bull. Nothing will happen in 2012, other than what we humans will dish out for ourselves to suffer.
