"If we cannot find our way to a time when most of us are willing to admit that…we are not sure whether or not God wrote some of our books, then we need only count the days to Armageddon-because God has given us far many more reasons to kill one another than to turn the other cheek.” Sam Harris from “The End of Faith”

Only if people can stop the terror they impose on each other! We have to start treating each other with comity! And educate ourselves, instead of letting a few lug heads tell us how to feel as they tell us what is important to think about matters the at hand!Making an intellegent decission should be your number one priorty!

My religious opinion is that it won't end until the second coming. Other than that, not until their religion evolves as Christianity did. Which probably won't happen now.
  • ehrhornp 2012/09/13 18:16:38
Yes when christian principles are finally followed by the country.
  • Hawk 2012/09/13 17:48:51
Not unless we loose the "Dogs of War" for real. Keep the libtards out of it.
  • cddjmikey 2012/09/13 17:22:47
Yes, at the end of the world .
  • jgh57 2012/09/13 16:41:54
Once we actually treat it as a war it will end quickly. We need to hold the countries that allow this to happen accountable. We need to also quit trying to be politically correct. If we are attacked we should respond 100 fold without concern for who is hurt on the other side. We are dealing with people who have a dark ages mentality. They do not have the intelligence to negotiate. They only understand power. We should have jets ready and when one of our embassies is attack bomb the areas around the embassy. When we are attacked we should respond until the enemy can not. We should chase him into where ever he is hiding and exterminate him.
  • sickofpolitics 2012/09/13 16:05:45
Yes, but only when we turn that sand into glass. One country is all it would take, then the rest would say, we had better not F*CK with the US!!!
  • Bibliophilic 2012/09/13 15:51:35
It should not exist. There will always be terrorists- declaring war on them antagonizes them and gives them what they want (attention by way of bloodshed). They attack, they kill and we attack them in revenge. Yes, capture and detain them, but the media fuels their fires- they love hearing the scare tactics on Fox News. They laugh at our fear and conspiracy theories while they rake in the oil money.

Nope; too much money in terror.
  • Theresa 2012/09/13 15:09:21
NO because the gov't will redefine who is a terrorist. For example a terrorist used to be a mad bomber intent on harming everyone. now a Terrorist is a god fearing American who stands up for the Founding Father's principles and Believes in the Constitution should be the Law of the Land that No one should be above the law.

With a bomb OR who George Bush doesn't like and goes on the no-fly list. Don't forget, Osama bin Laden never made the FBI most wanted list. I wonder why Dick Cheney isn't
  • Sina 2012/09/13 14:10:17
    I hope!
  • pdt_ski 2012/09/13 14:05:39
I hope so but not in my lifetime, I fear. The terror that underlies the war has been around for a long time, though. The Armenian Genocide in 1915 is an example of how the Islamists who underlie this have a long history and, unlike modern Christians, still believe in Holy War.

    Bush declared Iraq a "Crusade".
  • pdt_ski bob h. 2012/09/13 15:55:04
There are different types of "crusade," though. I'm not defending Bush in particular but a Christian crusade is fundamentally religious while a crusade of good over evil is not. He did say the war on terror was a crusade of good (freedom, democracy) over evil (terrorism). Though some memos with bible quotes above pictures I think that is a misinterpretation by people who don't understand why someone would pray for success of an endeavor.
  • Nan 2012/09/13 13:56:51
I highly doubt it as long as we always have to be the ones to 'police' the world. I think we should pull out completely in these Middle East countries..leave them to their own devices and just really, really strengthen and protect things here at home instead.
  • hapman 2012/09/13 13:36:16
it's not a war on terror so they could stop it any time they want.

    war terror

A classic quote and always true. Don't forget that the NAZI Propagandists didn't have it so easy. They had to contract a radio manufacturer to sell radios at cost so that every German would have one and listen to their Propaganda. Now; just throw money at a station, or find some local buffoon and give him a show.
  • hapman bob h. 2012/09/13 19:10:08
yeah, it's everywhere. and it's so insidious most people don't even realise that it's propaganda and they're being indoctinated.

Those numbers are based on those who try and obey his Will and those who don't. I'd say they're pretty close. : ).

no we will not the global war on terror is like waging a global war on stupidity I mean look around you stupidity is everywhere just like terrorism it will not go away and if you really wanna boil terrorism down to it smallest level everyone could be a terrorist! its all on how you focus your energies.

  • TheR 2012/09/13 13:21:52
Yes it will. First of all people have to realize attacking each other proves absolutely nothing. Killing someone does not solve any problems. If you really want to prove something, it would be to restrain from having the urge to retaliate and seek your Justice.

It is harder to make friends and be patient to resolve problems. So are we afraid of work, or just want to bomb each other to death?

Better to make a movie that says good things about others, than condemning them. One good turn deserves another.

Don't look now, but there's only one particular cult who is murdering innocents on a global, daily basis.

Not whilst we still interfere in the affairs of others, for no matter whose side we come down on, we are certain to upset somebody...
  • wtw JMCC 2012/09/13 13:25:18
WWII was about americans staying neutral until a war erupted that killed more people than the little skirmishes we have today. I would rather we fight the little battles rather than allow a power or tradgedy on the world stage to erupt that causes a world war!
  • JMCC wtw 2012/09/13 13:28:15
I suspect that a lot more people have died in and because of our interference in the middle east over the last 30 years than most people realise.
