Yes, it will strike down at least part of it.

    The individual mandate is unconstitutional!
  • GeorgeAMartini 2012/06/21 06:36:36
Obama care will be struck down in its entirety.
    GeorgeAMartini
This of course assumes that the SCOTUS actually understand the Constitution and choose to rule based on it. Ginsberg looks down on the Constitution as being ill conceived. I think we should be able to impeach her based on her public statements.

IF the Justices have ANY REGARD for preventing Congress from over exerting it's authority, it will.

I think the mandate is dead in the water. Lets face it they had one chance and in their rush to get as big a bill as they could they overshot But I honestly believe any bill that is passed without giving the members time to even read it should be thrown out on the grounds that it was passed without clear thought and honest debate.

I second that. Any Congressmen who votes without understanding a bill, should be not allowed to vote.

No, Obamacare will be allowed to stand.

First of all, there's nothing unconstitutional in it. Second, the bill is actually pro-corporate, so the majority of the SC justices, who are corporate owned, will vote to let it stand. The minority of SC justices, who are liberal, will vote to let it stand as well, because at least it does something to further health care in this ass-backwards nation.

I can only hope that this is the course of action they will take and the damaging socialist Obama care will be gone.

I'm sure that there are many good parts but no one read it before voting on it, stupid move.

Well, thats my hope. I think that at the very least the mandate will go. The thing is, without the mandate proping everything else up the bill itself is dangerous. Thats why I hope the whole thing goes or economic uncertainty will tick up and the summer will be a bloodbath of fallout as both Parties fight to fix the leftovers ahead of an election.

If these judges can actually do their jobs correctly then they have to strike it down. If not, I guess that means there is no law in this land and we can all do whatever we feel like.

You would need a bigger majority than you are likely to get. A filibuster free majority is unlikely.

We need to do whatever it takes to take back our country and restore the Constitution. Past generations gave us what we had. If we blow this, we don't deserve freedom. The sad thing is, there are plenty of people who get it. But we are at the mercy of the majority, even though we are supposed to be a representative republic.

We are at the mercy of the minority who believe we're not capable of self determination. We can right the ship but it won't happen with one man. Keep supporting conservatives at every level of government and we'll get there
  • GeorgeA... Preside... 2012/06/21 19:15:46
    GeorgeAMartini
Exactly. The minority dupes the majority into voting for nonsensical things like hope and change because the majority simply do not pay attention. Other generations before us fought external forces to retain our freedom. We, just like the generation around 1860, will have to fight internally. I hope it doesn't come to another civil war, but the forces of the left (or the forces of evil as I call them) keep pushing, pushing pushing. We need to fight at the ballot box for every conservative candidate in every race, everywhere.

They do not seem to understand that in war you take what you can, defend it then move on to the next objective. The left talks about a war on women etc. We need to start talking about the left's war on freedom.

I think there are some good things in it, but as a total bill it is terrible. I hope they just start over with one portion at a time and get it right.
