Governments absolutely LOVE disarming the general honest, law abiding population, with gun buybacks etc. Why is that? The bad guys would NEVER hand their weapons in! Certain media groups and public officials already started spinning the for their political agenda for more gun control. If the cinema, where the shooting took place, didn't have a no firearm policy, even if you have an open carry permit from the state of Colorado would there have been a different result? More gun control has never brought more security because the only ones willing to follow the laws are people who respect the law, not the criminals! If even one law abiding citizen was able to carry their legally obtained firearm the outcome would have been less lives lost not more! Punishing law abiding citizens for the actions of criminals is pointless and futile!

The Second Amendment will never be altered in my lifetime. This deranged person used a legal semi-auto and no doubt, was a ticking time bomb. First off, there are not that many full automatic weapons in the hands of civilians today. This guy was a wacko and we could not have stopped him. The Anit Gun nuts are not as bad as some of the Gun nuts themseives. I know about the NRA and gun ownership. Retired Military Marine Corps here. Have my guns also, This will not be a good issue for either party to count on. Democrats are gun owners, hunters and NRA members also. I vote Conservative.
