Romney can't extricate himself from his previous positions of "self deport", and the claim he'd veto the Dream Act. Just saying "long term solution" means nothing to Hispanics who have been waiting 20 years for one. He won't be able to capture the 35% of Hispanic voters he must get to win. Some GOPs in Congress may be defeated too.

I would imagine there are enough legal immigrants that feel the same way.

There is more than this issue that the GOP will lose the election over on. Every idea even their own they block or voted no because they do not want the dem to look like winners. But in the end they will look like sore losers.

You just can't tell a group of people that they basically don't count and think you're going to win any election.....national election. The deep south doesn't count! lol

Latinos are a hard hit group for unemployment. Obama has not helped them. Romney will be tough on immigration, but good for jobs if you're already here.

have to get the do nothing dems out of the white house and senate to be effective. Then we'll see what they can do ... and we'll all be watching this time to make sure they stay on track.

Twenty years from now? Yeah. But right now, hispanics only make up 9% of the vote, and Obama received 60% in 2008, which is what he is looking at right now. Not to mention, gallup found that immigration is not the number one issue for hispanics. Lets just hope the Republicans see the light in the next few years. Amnesty, better immigration system and stronger border protection.

I don't agree with the Republicans on many things but immigration is one. The Supreme Court is wrong. People in this country illegally are criminals and should be treated as such.

Upholding the law should not be a reason to "pay the price" at the polls. Urinating on the constitution by executive order, frequently, should be.
