the prosecution will likely argue that Zimmerman began the conflict by calling 911 to report Martin even though Martin was simply walking home with a bottle of ice tea and bag of skittles. The prosecution will then state that Zimmerman ignored the police
Zimmerman will also have to convince the jury that he was losing a fight to someone nearly half his size, and felt the only way out was to shoot Martin.
It is hard to see how the defense will be able to rebut the prosecution case without bringing Zimmerman to the stand to give his own version of eventsand then the prosecution will get a crack at Zimmerman

    Mainly they show he is incredibly stupid. If his lawyers put him on the stand, it is all over, he will convict himself. Even though it still appears to me that he is innocent of murder or even manslaughter, he will probably brag about the killing trying to appear tough and dangerous. There are many innocent men in prison for stupidity and many guilty men free because they were bright enough to beat the system.

    George Zimmerman has been found guilty in the court of public opinion. He and his wife will be imprisoned or worse. No matter what defense, it will not matter. The tapes about the money just exemplify people who are not savy enough to act properly. (Listen to an attorney) This is an old fashioned lynching, happily prosecuted by the press. If someone has you on the ground punching you in the face screaming that you are going to die, do you beleive him and take action to save your life? Or is it better to just die? Let the court of the press decide. Oh thats right the press has already decided.

    A LOT will depend on the Judge. I often question what some of them are thinking when they rule on admissible evidence.

    THANK YOU!!! Not saying he deserved to die, but I am saying that BOTH sides have shaky credibility. In my opinion, the deciding factors will be the voices on the 911 tapes, any witnesses, and what was on Trayvon's cell phone when he called his girlfriend.

    It shouldn't undo his case. We're still a nation of "laws" and not justice. It will only undermine his bail. The credibility issue is questionable, but, any good attorney can get over that.

    Zimmerman may be a liar, but that doesn't make him a stone-cold murderer. Being the charge is murder, the prosecution bares this burden of proof -- and proof that Zimmerman lies is like saying because the moon has holes, it must be cheese.

    No way should Zimmerman take the stand in any shape or form. Just sit down and stfu would me the best legal advice.

    ...I think that picture of his wife would help in his defense though. "You're honor... Any man would be driven to kill. His entire life is one of self-defense! Don't look away, ladies and gentlemen... LOOK AT HER!"

    I think it shows that Zimmerman is pretty stupid and could work in his favor by helping to convince the jury the man does not think before he acts and has limited ability to make decisions.

    The recordings absolutely prove that him and his wife were trying to hide money from the judge.

    Jailhouse phone tapes aren't private. Privacy on a jailhouse phone? On the phones from that jail that the prisoners are allowed to use they can't even make a regular call out.
    ALL OF THEIR CALLS ARE COLLECT. Local calls, everything.

    I live in that county. Some one in my household got phone calls from someone in that same jail. When I learned they were all collect I selected the 'refuse all calls in the future' option next time I answered when they called.

    If the calls occurred through those 'visit phones' visitors have to use it's obviously not private.

    The only private calls within a Prison are either to or from a lawyer, and these must be made in another section of the compound. Phone conversations in prison are monitored.The plaintiff in the Strauus Kahn rape trial, shot herself in the foot by discussing the case with her incarcerated boyfriend. These tapes were admitted as evidence.

    The tapes don't bode well for George. His credibility is certainly damaged by them. Listening to the tapes shows just how cunning and corrupt both he and his wife are, and let's not forget about his sister. It would seem to me that his lawyer had knowledge of the skullduggery as well.

    It doesn't really matter, he has already been tried and found guilty by the media. If he is found not guilty in a court of law, he will eventually be killed by some progressive assassin anyway.
