Will Shaniya's Mom Face Murder Charge?

The father of a 5-year-old girl whose body was found off a rural North Carolina road regrets giving the girl's mother a chance to raise their daughter, even though she seemed to be getting her life together.

Shaniya Davis' father, Bradley Lockhart, said he had a one-night stand with Antoinette Davis and mostly brought up their daughter before letting Davis take care of her.

A month later, Shaniya was dead, her body dumped off a rural road and her mother accused of selling her for sex.

So, even if Antoinette Davis is not directly linked to her killing, could she be charged in some way in her daughter's death?

Let the evidence speak for itself. If the mother had nothing to do with it, that would be so sad to persecute her wrongly. If the mother IS guilty, put her in GENERAL POPULATION and let all the other mommies who miss their kids know what she did. Natural consequences.

This so-called-mom sold her child for some damn drugs, it breaks my heart. May this child soul reast in Heaven. The things that parents do to their children now days is unbelieveable! People like her, should never have any kids; they don't deserved them. All children are precious and a GIFT from GOD.

This happened when I lived in Mississippi, the mother sold her oldest daughter to a man in a park, he raped and killed the little girl, the mother admitted she sold the child for sex. She was charged with selling the child but nothing else. Its sad but unless things have changed a lot in the past 15 years she probably will not be charged with the murder even though she should be.

What she did to that little girl was awful!! I hope she burns in hell! I was blessed with one beautiful daughter (I lost one before her and after her, hell, I almost lost her 5x during my pregnancy) and I can't imagine anyone fortunate enough to give birth to a child having such hatred for them that they would consider such a thing. I can't imagine what that poor little girl went thru but I think the same thing that happened to her needs to be committed on the mother so she can feel first hand what her daughter had to suffer.........then zap her sorry a$$!

Most definitely! She attributed to the murder, without a doubt, she is an accessory and I hope that the other children that she has and the baby she is carrying are stripped away from her forever! If this monster had not given her daughter to a man in exchange for God knows what, sex? drugs? gambling debt? Shaniya would still be alive today! I hope she rots in hell, to tell you the truth....no jail sentence can compare to what certainly awaits her in the afterlife! Just when I think that these monsters out her cannot get more deplorable, along comes another one.

The mother was stupid and not thinking. I don't know what I would do to her, maybe drop her off a cliff. but who am I to say what should happen?
