Will Republicans vote for Romney just because he is white ?

2012 Obama 2012/03/07 22:13:46
Republicans accused Democrats of voting for President Obama in 2008 just because he was Black.

So will Republicans vote for Romney just because he is white and what does that mean ?

Is it racism to vote for a person just because of their skin color ?

Obama would have never become President if white people didnt give him their vote. However i would say the vast majority of blacks did vote for him because he is black or(half½). I didnt vote for him and for those that did i hope they now see it was a huge mistake. Never in the history of the USA has so many states threatend to secede from the union. Texas and South Carolina has all but told Obama to kiss their ass. S.C has done it before and dont think we wont do it again. SC is suing the Obama regime as we speak. Let the games begin and remember= DONT TREAD ON ME.

I would classifiy it as a daft reason to vote for someone cause of their skin colour.
I dont think that the republicans can be accused of racism on this one as there are no black candidates.

Fact. A 28 year old black female came out on the news stating she voted for the first time in 08 and did so for Obama. That is racism in it's finest but hey do not believe it. Racist come from every where but they are out numbered. Racism did have much to do with the 08 election. If Obama had been a limited experience, young, white republican he would've been laughed off the stage.

Republicans would vote for a purple and pink zebra if one were running against 0bama.
It isn't a matter of skin color, but policy and a few other little things, such as 0bamacare, the NDAA, the people in his administration, illegal recess appointments...

    Incorrect.
  • luvguins trader 2012/03/18 04:55:46

Very correct. Of course a few racist Democrats like Strom Thurmond became Republicans as soon as the civil rights bill was signed. Yes, some dixiecrats remained Democrats after the 1948 election, but after the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, most blacks registered as democrats and it’s been that way ever since.

And that doesn’t make any sense when you consider the fact that it was the democrats that established, and fought for, Jim Crow laws and segregation in the first place. The republicans then were liberal had a very noble history of fighting for the civil rights of blacks.

The reason black people moved to the democrats, given by media pundits and educational institutions for the decades, is that when republican presidential candidate Richard Nixon ran for president in 1968, he employed a racist plan that’s now infamously called the Southern Strategy.

The Southern Strategy basically means Nixon allegedly used hidden code words that appealed to the racists within the Democrat party and throughout the south. This secret language caused a seismic shift in the electoral landscape that moved the evil racist democrats into the republican camp and the noble-hearted republicans into the democrat camp.

Now, that's an ignorant question. First of all, if there was anyone to say people voted for Barack Hussein Obama because he is black, it would have been a very small minority. The repubs I know make statements like, "he had a lot of money, and got the media to support him," not, "oh, the democrats just voted for him because he's black." That is one of the most ignorant things I've heard in my life. Secondly, they are not going to vote for a candidate because they are white...again, effing ignorant, my friend. There was a large group of repub supporters for Alan Keys, when he ran (I'm sure you forgot about him), and there was a large group of supporters for Herman Cain (if you remember him). So, the notion that Republicans, as a group, would vote for somebody based on race is imbecile, foolish, and ignorant. I don't know where you get your mis-information from, and I know it comes from both sides, but it is not how Republicans are. I am currently in Upstate New York, though I've lived in Washington, DC for several years, was out in LA, and I know too many Repulicans that are not how you depict them. And, for the record, I am not a republican, and I'm not voting for Mitt.

A third party vote in the general election is pretty much a vote for Obama. I'm not crazy about Romney and I would much prefer someone else, but I'm not crazy enough to let Obama continue with his rape and pillage of our economy. I do not believe he's incompetent. This is all deliberate and pre-meditated. He's working to destroy America as a sovereign and independent nation. He wants us forced into membership in a socialist world government.

I do not belong to a party. I don't feel the need to identify with a particular group, nor would I claim an association to any group other than the human race. I do not know who may have said that Obama constituents voted for him because he is black, but I am sure that was said by some. However, the idea that Republicans have this belief is false, and I know enough of them personally, have read plenty, and have seen enough to know that this is not a Republican thought. It is an ignorant one. But I also cannot make the claim that no person voted for Obama because he is black. So, some may have, but I don't know them, and it's not part of the Democratic philosophy. Just because some anti-Obama people may have said that doesn't mean it's part of the Republican philosophy.

Seems nearly 98 % of blacks voted for Obama because he is black. Is that racist ? During the same election year, two black GOP candidates were voted in via the republican ticket. There is no proof that GOPers are racist because someone is black, white, or yellow. It is the media and liberals who insist there is racism rampant among the
white people. There is racism on all parts, but pay attention to who those who bring up racism initially.

I am white and I didn't vote for Obama because he was black. I voted for him because he was the best candidate. I voted for him because I believe he has integrity. I voted for him because he has a vision for our country. I voted for Obama because of the man I believe that he is and I will not vote for Romney, because of the man that he seems be. Whatever that is. I am not sure he himself is clear on that. I understand what you are saying. But, please know, not everyone votes with their racial minds set.
