OUST THE MARXIST USURPER! HONDURAS DID!
When you consider what had to be put in the bill to buy votes, no. Most of the bill contains items that have nothing to do with care for Americans.
It will provide basic coverage to millions currently without. I'd assume that regular check-ups and the ability to pay for daily therapy drugs (things like Lipitor, or Glumetza) would help those individuals live longer, and perhaps more importantly, avoid hospitalization for going untreated. This actually ends up costing the public more, in the long run: people who go without treatment and end up exacerbating simple conditions, ending in expensive hospitalization. I expect to see improvement in this area.
But we shouldn't expect miracles. People will still suffer from health problems. Spending money on public healthcare for daily therapies and check-ups, though, should help ease the strain caused by emergency and hospitalization spending. And, more importantly, people who remain on their daily therapies without skipping doses or stopping therapy (which happens due to monetary concerns more often than you might think) will live with less health related complications.
When you sell your home, it will be taxed accordingly to pay for bamacare. If you don't get insurance, they can put you in jail. There's so much more in the 2500 page document that you just don't know about.
