Will legalizing drugs REALLY effect the "war on drugs"??? What kind of an effect on society would ease of access to drugs have??

It would end the war on drugs and would reduce crime overall. In every part of the world where drugs were legalized, regulated, and taxed the impact has been tremendously positive. We could turn a big negative in to a huge positive. In addition whether legal or not drug use will continue, because you cannot effectively legislate morality.reply - ehrhornp 2012/04/20 18:37:31Yes legalizing drugs will effect the war on drugs by ending it. The reduction of inmates in the prisons and enofrcement cost would reduce expenditures in federal and state. All in all we would save hundreds of billions of dollars and get a tax revenue of hundreds of billions of dollars. And less broken lives.reply
