The cuts being discussed are not cuts as such but just a reduction in what those spendaholics want for future expenditures but are still an INCREASE over current levels. A reduction of $85-110 billion per year out of a ANNUAL budget of $3.6-3.7 TRILLION is chicken feed!! Without a reversal of the current deficit spending, that $16.7 TRILLION debt will only get larger. Time to really cut especially with all the social handout programs. I think jug ears and Congress are just trying to make our fiscal condition so bad that it will open the door for a national sales tax or a VAT tax. They will then say they had no choice!!!

More than a decade now, not a single successful hack into our servers. Reason for this is I practice excellent security measures which requires time and effort.
Our government, our CIA spooks, Homeland Security, private enterprise and most other systems of significance, those operators do not practice good security policies. Quite the opposite, our most sensitive national computer systems are compromised by employees walking malicious software right into their offices. This is compromised laptops and compromised thumb drives employees willingly and ignorantly walk right into their offices and cubicles.
This is precisely how our government messed around with Iran's nuclear program, with help from Israel, a country which routinely hacks American computers.
Punishing China with economic sanctions will not stop Chinese hacking, nor stop Israel from hacking our American computers. America could cutoff all trade with China and ten-million Chinese teenagers would continue hacking the Pentagon simply for cheap thrills.
This is so odd Chinese teenagers can so easily gain access to CIA computers, or steal credit card information of a million Walmart customers.
Scott Paul, you have this bassackwards. You should not be calling on China to stop all their hacking, you should be calling on your system operators to prevent hacking of your computers through effective security measures.
Going on fifteen years, some the best hackers have taken runs at our server here in our home. Not a single successful attempt. They annoy me, yes, sometimes give me a scare, but they do not compromise our server system.
I practice the latest and best in security measures, I invest time and effort into this. You should stop your whining and crying and practice good computer system security, like I do.
