I checked "no" becuase there should have been a "maybe".... Obama and his supporters have spent at least million dollars fighting bringing out the long form birth certificate. It would have cost a plane ticket and $24 to end it once and for all. And he has already visited Hawaii on OUR DIME! So he would not have even had to but the plane ticket.... $24.... Thats IT! That is ALL he would have to pay to END the entire debate!
Honestly, If you don't see something fishy about someone spending $1,000,000 to avoid spending $24.... You are blinded by your love for Obama.

You’d think that after two years in office and a slew of historic legislation aimed at getting the country back in the black that the Obama birthers would give up their pursuit of proof that the president was not born in the United States.
And while solid evidence to the contrary hasn’t swayed them yet, Democratic Hawaiian governor Neil Abercrombie is determined to shut down the movement once and for all. ABC News reported that just three weeks into his first term, Abercrombie said that ending the conspiracy theories about Obama’s birthplace is one of his priorities.
A friend of Obama’s late parents, Abercrombie has said in a number of interviews that he has a personal interest in closing the debate, which is why he’s instructed the state attorney general and health department director to look for ways to let the facts about Obama's birth prove his origin once and for all.
"It's an emotional insult. It is disrespectful to the president; it is disrespectful to the office," Abercrombie told The New York Times. "There's no reason on earth to have the memory of his parents insulted by people whose motivation is solely political. ... Let's put this particular canard to rest."
One reason the so-called birther debate has had such long legs is that long-form birth certificate for Obama with the name of the hospital and the doctor, his or her signature, the baby's birth weight, and the national origin of the parents has never been made public. During the 2008 campaign, the Obama camp released a short-term copy of a "certification of live birth,” which has the same legal weight as the longer one.
Birthers weren’t swayed by that, though, complaining that the document – which has the embossed seal of authenticity from the Department of Health -- only listed the date, hour and location of Obama's birth and the names and race of his parents. They are convinced that the withholding of the original birth certificate is part of a conspiracy to cover up the president’s ineligibility to hold the nation’s highest office.
Whether you’re the president or a sun-kissed surfer nobody, Hawaiian state law prohibits the release of original birth records to persons without a "direct and tangible interest” and only the president, his wife, children, relatives, parents or lawyers have such an interest, according to the text of the law. And so far, none of them have given their consent for the document to be made public. Regardless, the Health Department reports getting dozens of requests in November for the document and up to 50 in one month earlier this year, many apparently from the same person using different aliases.
Like the lingering false information about Obama’s religion, the birther debate has been sticky, with a recent ABC News-Washington Post poll finding that 14 percent of Americans saying they think Obama was born in another country.
Do you think Abercrombie’s actions will end birther debate?

On the basis of publicly available information, his adoptive mother Stanley Ann Dunham (probably his paternal half-sister) expatriated Barry from the U.S. He almost certainly acquired Indonesian citizenship. There is no public evidence that he renewed U.S. citizenship. Even if he did, he would be a naturalized citizen, not natural born.
Barry is the polar opposite of honest. He pretends to be African-American, but is neither. If he were honest, he would have no objection to exhaustive official investigation of his past, and in fact would cooperate by consenting to the disclosure of records pertaining to his birth and life history.

Exhaustive official investigations, which can be expected to result, if diligently conducted, in impeachment and prosecution, are essential. The Honorable Darrell Issa, by failing to do so much as subpoena Barry's vital records for fear of being viewed as "overreaching", is guilty of grave dereliction of duty.
What a nut that governor is. "it's an emotional insult, disrespectful to the office, etc."? WTF? What's an insult is that there is even an issue. If there are basically only two qualifications to being president: born in the US and being 35, then he should have had to show proof! I get asked for my "papers" every time I get stopped by a cop. I have to send in original docs (college transcripts, birth certificates, etc) for "regular" jobs. When I joined the military, they did everything but take a DNA test. They took blood, fingerprints, birth certificate, dental xrays, swimming test, etc. just to get into a military academy. You'd think the CINC (commander in chief) would have to at least produce one lousy document...the same one every member of the armed forces had to produce...to be the leader of the armed forces!
I don't get why it had to be such a secret. It obviously begs the question, "what's he hiding?". There isn't anything embarrassing about it like we'll find out his middle name is Hussein, or that he's AB- blood type, or that he's got one testicle or whatever. It's ju...

There isn't anything embarrassing about it like we'll find out his middle name is Hussein, or that he's AB- blood type, or that he's got one testicle or whatever. It's just proof that he was born in the US! What could possibly keep him from whipping it out on request?? His refusal is VERY suspect. Imagine a plain clothes cop arresting you and REFUSING to show you his badge. Imagine the FBI kicking in your door and refusing to show you credentials. You get pulled over without proof of insurance...ticket. Hell, you have to have proof of identity to pick your kids up at school, get something notarized, two forms of ID to open a bank account, ID to buy beer or cigarettes, etc. But when someone asks for your proof to be elected the MOST POWERFUL PERSON IN THE WORLD, you can say "F-U. I ain't showin'!" And 300 million Americans are okay with that???
The problem is that if he wasn't born in the US, I think he'd have to be impeached and ousted. I think the SC would have to rule the election invalid. And not as a Republican ploy but rather a CLEAR constitutional issue. Clearer than any free speech or gun rights issue is the requirement for being president. And that's what he's hiding. Actually, he might not even know if he was really born in the US. I only say I was born in Florida because I was always told that. I obviously don't remember being born in FL. Maybe he always thought he was and then after the election, his moms told him a little family secret. I can't imagine the DNC ran him thinking "we'll just keep this under the rug".
After all, if he's eligible to remain president if the "truth" comes out against him, then I guess all bets are off. Any African Muslim can be the US president. I personally always wanted Arnold to run but thought he couldn't since he was born in Romania or Austria or wherever. Maybe he'll run after all!
Any necessary and proper acts that he has accidentally performed can be re-enacted.

Legislative and law enforcement officials did not investigate Barry's citizenship status. They must now play catch-up, but seem strung out and apathetic. Most officials are shirking their constitutional duty, putting the subject off with idiotic sound bites.
I'm sure Obama has his birth certificate. I would think since it has been verified by a dozen sources by now it should be enough. Should 3000 people line up so he can show it to them individually when it's already been vertified by higher sources than themselves? They wouldn't believe it if they saw it because they simply don't want to because to get others to follow their conspiracy they have hatched up would have no more meaning.
But then I suppose one could argue that factcheck is just a liberal/democratic run scam. People believe what they WANT to believe and sadly many gobble up the misinformation especially when it fits in with their own view point.
But it is inherently ambiguous. The parents named could be adoptive parents from the amended birth certificate or birth parents.from the original birth certificate, the contemporaneous record of birth.
Whatever one wants to believe, the original birth certificate is necessary to confirm the true birth parents; to exclude a possible (albeit not probable) ringer, DNA analysis is called for, also.
