They will compromise and avoid the cliff, but will NOT come up with a real budget.

wake up and smell the coffee; if the business owners collapse; who are you gonna work for?
how will you afford the gas or electricity?
how will you afford the prices in food and goods.
this is not just about money for the rich; this fiscal cliff covers the poor and everyone

the wealthy ARE NOT BUSINESS OWNERS. they are investors and cop a free ride from their investments. the only people left employing anyone in mass numbers in this country are the mom and pop shops

“The data show that, across sectors, 66 percent of new establishments were still in existence 2 years after their birth, and 44 percent were still in existence 4 years after. It is not surprising that most of the new establishments disappeared within the first 2 years after their birth, and then only a smaller percentage disappeared in the subsequent 2 years. These survival rates do not vary much by industry.”
also this is a common practice of the work force commission
quote:"With a recent shift in focus towards stricter employee misclassification enforcement, it is becoming increasingly crucial to evaluate your approach before doing business with independent contractors and small businesses." unquote

that was from their own mouths. to me, they are saying to only do business with big corps. with such a toxic view on how they treat small business. it is no wonder they fail so much and place people in the POOR house. your turn "tick.. tick.."

How many "businesses" are there in the U.S.? Well, in 2007 over 31 million U.S. business entities will file income tax returns - a figure that has been growing at a rate of around 3% annually. Of the total, over 22 million represents self employed individuals (many of whom also have other full-time employment) including around 900,000 real estate agents, close to 700,000 nannies, and nearly 1 million direct sales ventures such as Amway and Mary Kay Cosmetics. Many of these business entities represent part-time or hobby ventures. But similar to beauty, what constitutes a "business" is ultimately in the eyes of the beholder.

    >> In total there are 31 million businesses, of which 22 million are self-employed. So 9 million businesses are 2 persons and larger.

In the past year, the debt limit has been increased more than once. Each time, no austerity measures were instituted.

There will be no changes. Since there is no real opposition in Congress, this administration has no incentive to stop increasing its spending.

Don't think they'll agree on a budget OR go over the fiscal speed-bump. Think the tax measures will pass andother bdget items (much more complex) will be deferred over next year. Debt limit will remain as R's leverage to seriously address expense side of ledger.
