Why Would “We” Need a $10 per Hour Minimum Wage?

By: From the Trenches

There is a proposal to raise the federal
minimum wage to $10 per hour and of course the corporate elite have
their propagandists attacking the idea, saying it is completely uncalled
for and that it will destroy small businesses. Isn’t this the way of
things? When it is to their advantage the corporate elite will expound
that they are one and the same with the middle class, the working poor,
and small businesses.

Well, you have to do 1 of 2 things in an economy that less and less people can afford. You have to lower tariffs and taxes on domestically made items so it puts more people to work and cheapens the products without sacrificing quality--OR--you raise the minimums to a more living wage to keep the people from complaining too much while you continue to deflate the dollar. 1 the elite doesn't like because mass unemployment happens ahead of schedule, and one the elite simply cannot have. That is why they are arguing against it without offering the more beneficial alternative.

makes me look at why wages are so low........for certain jobs...

The main reason is we have a work force of Illegals working in the lowest paying jobs
that will take poor pay for the worst jobs....
If we didnt have the illegal workforce...buisness would be forced to pay more the worst jobs...
that would raise the wages of everyone...

I'd keep the minimum wage at starvation wages (as they are today) but give everyone more vacation and holidays.

There is a term, "the working poor". Because a person working a job at minimum wage cannot make enough to support one person, let alone a family. A 40 hour workweek at $10/hr yields gross income of roughly $20,800/yr and that's BEFORE taxes. Given a 15% tax rate for just federal withholding and that leaves roughly $17,700 a year, or less than $350/week to live on. Even at $10/hr it would be a be a hard squeak to live on that. If you add basic health insurance, a low-end car, and basic phone service, it would become nearly impossible. If the individual lived in a large city a car might not be a necessity, but the generally higher cost of urban living would make up for that. Of course the "corporate elite" will fight this. But if it becomes law, I would bet than rather than give up their multimillions in bonuses, the rests of us will bear the cost in increased costs of goods and services.

Raising the minimum wage hurts all citizens, and profits more tax revenue to government. Causes for artificial inflation. Makes wage earners above minimum poorer, thus expanding poverty. Unions love this because it limilts more individuals from attaining trained skilled labor status. Slows down demand economics and expands an economic bubble in the market. The expansion is the lead prior to a burst, then a rescue, this public policy only makes the private Federal Reserve bank richer.

So when a small business is forced to raise minimum wage he doesn't increase to the price of his products to compensate? What about the lost man? Also if so why not make minimum wage $100/hr

so using that reasoning then people should remain poor all their lives ,right? so the ones at the top can benefit and live in style.

I am not saying that at all. Get rid of al taxes at federal level, Repeal the federal reserve act of 1913, go to a nantional sales tax, Change the purpose of w-4's to remove individual and business mandates in trade for individual choice, Eliminate FDA, FAA, HUD, DOE (energy), DOE (education). Cut funding of Fed gov't in half, spend only on previous years revenues, This lets people invest in their ownself as a commidity (going to school to learn a trade), and climb the economic ladder. Minimum wage should not exist, if I want to work for lest government should not penalize me or that business for doing so.

the national sales tax is a boon for the rich, and a death sentence for the poor. the rich use a miniscule percentage of their income for purchases, and the poor use almost every dime of theirs for purchases. so again, the rich get away with paying almost no tax, and the poor suffer a huge tax burden. if you want to work for less, just give the excess money to me.

Here is the downfall of your argument. Do you know what happened in 1933 and why birth certificates were created? And before you attempt a response that uses the corporation false system language, I highly recommend you take your time and do your research. Hint, everything you have teen taught about our financial banking system is a lie.

I understand and agree with the assesment of how the Federal Reserve has destroyed this economy I am talking about the symptoms such as public policy that is directly influenced by Fiat currencies. I knew this back in '08. I am going further into the discriptions of what is a result, a symptom rather than the disease itself. You have to let people know that adding placebo drugs to cure an ailment only increases the strength to the germ. If we had a free market, sound hard money, and half the size of Government, NWO's would have no grip because the electorate would be ever vigilant.
