According to Newsweek, Romney asked VP shortlisters for ten years of tax returns.

So why won't Romney release more of his own returns? What exactly is he still hiding?

If Romney wanted 10 year of tax returns from Ryan why does he think voters only deserve one full year from him?

The question Romney has to answer is: What is he hiding?

What Romney could be hiding, and this is pure speculation on my part, is that he not only paid no taxes over the last ten years, he actually wrangled himself refunds.

Well first of all he is hypocrite, and second he's a first class liar, but most of all he is hiding something from the American people, and that is why he wont show his returns!!! It has to be something terribly bad, because the publicity beating over not releasing his returns has been very bad, but I guess not as bad as if we found out what was on those returns!!!

There is another subtext to the wittholding of tax returns: Romney appears arrogant. condescending, and legalistic. I do not understanding why any thinking person would vote for him on this basis alone.

Romney has made a series of mistakes including not just his tax returns, but how he ran the convention and the ill-fated overseas trip during the Olympics. This probably is a result of the problem that McCain also had: the Republican base and general electorate have become so different that the way you structure a nominating run and how you do a general election are just too different. What looks like strength to one group looks like arrogance to the other. If Romney looses, which looks increasingly likely, the Republican leadership needs to do some serious work on fixing the nominating process for 2016.

I agree. At the very least, the unwillingness to disclose this information gives the *appearance* of hiding information that the Romney campaign thinks could be used against him. The average person is likely to perceive non-disclosure negatively.
The Obama campaign should keep this in the public consciousness. If I were advising Mr. Romney, I would recommend releasing the information and addressing any concerns head on. Otherwise, this issue alone could be his undoing.

Those were started by Republican president Dwight Eisenhower. Get false information out of your pinhead. Why would they need to pay yearly to keep a law license in Illinois when they are in D.C. and not practicing law? Theirs is on inactive status able to be activated again.

The president is a Christian, and you don't have to be in church to have spiritual faith. The Bible verses he reads each AM on his Blackberry phone. What is scary are radical religious freaks trying to shove their beliefs on all others and the government. That 16% polled believe he is a Muslim indicates their stupidity.

Churches have become too political and they should be taxed if they want to do that.
