wicked soda boy 2012/02/21 21:46:12+16MM doesn't want to lose their tax exempt status. It's disgusting that a politically partisan bunch of sh**-heads like Media Matters manages to stay tax exempt. It breaks the rules of what tax exempt orgs are supposed to do, and NOT DO.

Rather hypocritical though - pushing to take guns away and paying bodyguards to conceal?
We need the outrage -- which is hard when it's media itself that's under the gun because where else does publicity come from?

In the past 2 weeks a unit in the building next to me was foreclosed on, and an elderly couple moved to assisted living. I guess they at least had the money to do it. The unit above me has been vacant nearly 2 years, and the unit I'm in (since last summer) had been vacant for over a year.
I have a townhouse to sell in another suburb, and the stats are dismal -- nothing sold in 3-4 months (in the category), no more than 1 unit in 2 or 3 similar towns in the area. And this is one of the most stable areas in the country.
Generally condos and townhouses here go to people "stepping down," and the Boomers are retiring; if they aren't buying, it's because they aren't selling. It's all trickle-down.
That is what government control does... it limits economic mobility.
