Daily Caller reports:Media Matters for America founder David Brock refused to answer a question Tuesday morning regarding his group’s relationship with the Obama White House.

Video of the exchange was posted by Kerry Picket of The Washington Times. In the clip, an unidentified male with the “America’s Morning News” radio show asked Brock, “How accurate are reports that Media Matters and the White House coordinated efforts to investigate Fox News employees?”

MM doesn't want to lose their tax exempt status. It's disgusting that a politically partisan bunch of sh**-heads like Media Matters manages to stay tax exempt. It breaks the rules of what tax exempt orgs are supposed to do, and NOT DO.

"ambush journalism" .... Fox News and their ilk. Let's see --- lets include 60 Minutes on CBS. Every Sunday evening people tuned in back in the late 60s viewers tuned in to see who 60 Minutes 'caught' that week. Ambush journalism predates Fox News.

I NEVER "blamed" Fox News for ambush journalism in the sense they invented it. As you rightly point out, that lays much more at the feet of "60 Minutes". However, ambush NEVER proves anything and is almost guaranteed to make the abushee look bad, no matter what the facts are.

However, Fox does it and claims it proves something. I disagree.

You are right that it proves little. Though isn't it usually used when the person or organization being 'ambushed' refuses an interview? Even the local stations use it when doing investigative reporting and interviews are refused. Not saying it's right, but it definitely is used.

I don't think it indicates a refusal of an interview necessarily. From what I've seen, lots of the outlets you and I've mentioned jump right to it right off the bat. I guess it makes good TV, but without it being part of a larger story covered more completely, it's lousy journalism. Basically, it's often a cheep shot, proving nothing other than the ambusher is a bit of a jerk.

They are a 503(c) group which needs to file a THIS tax form -Write your Congressman and ask him to investigate media matter filings with the IRS... especially since they are agressively in the whitehouse.
