Why was there more coverage of controversy over Michael Jackson's estate than the Mars rover landing last night on Fox News? They only broke away for a few minutes to cover that and immediately went back to talking about MJ. Fox News FAIL!

I watched the entire feed from the Nasa channel for about 45 minutes. I kept switching back to Fox News and they only broke away until five minutes before the thing was to touch down. CNN was only slightly better. Anyway, what's that say about what the news outlets think about their viewers? No wonder American Idol winners are news stories on these networks.reply - JustMe Simmeri... 2012/08/06 18:43:07
But, sadly they seem to be correct, otherwise there would be a new station on the air, and they would be talking to themselves......reply -
Go up to people and ask them about this Mars rover. Few, if any will have heard of it or even care. Now, ask them about gay marriage and they all have a very strong opinion about that issue. What the hell is going on in this country? It's as if the country has gone certified loony bin!reply - JustMe Simmeri... 2012/08/06 18:51:49
For years I have been saying that in my opinion society had become complacent and lethargic. Look through history, this past 50+ years has contributed nothing in the way of landmark achievements or discoveries. With the technology and such available we should have been on Mars decades ago, hell the technology has been available for some time to set the chain reaction in motion to have mars able to sustain life within a century. Its beyond patheticreply
