    Yep, in the beginning, the constitution was created to protect the people from the government. Yes, they realised that we need a government to protect us from people that wish to harm us, at home and abroad. We also need a government to supply us with a strong currency. But as it is today, this government has decided that we need to be protected from ourselves. Now, we have a government, rather than working for us, we are working for them. What a complete twist. Our government, rather than being our servant, has become our master. Why? because we trusted them instead of being constantly suspicious of their agenda.

    This government was created by the "founding fathers" the drafters of the constitution. Government is always created when a group of people are willing to give up a certain amount of freedom in order to increase protection and order, since humans are not capable of full self organization unfortunately.

    The government has since then evolved to its current form, which while at its base still uses the constitution, is rather different than the original version, partially because we have amended the constitution and partially because we have ignored it.
