Why The case for Vice President Jindal is very strong?

jt 2012/08/04 14:57:30

Whom should Romney pick to run with him? Rob Portman, Tim Pawlenty, Condi Rice, John Thune, Marco Rubio, Susana Martinez, and Kelly Ayotte are names that keep popping up. But the best choice might be Bobby Jindal, whose term as governor of Louisiana will end in 2013. Notably, Governor Jindal has been successful as a governor and as a political leader in Louisiana.

Jindal just turned forty-one, which would make him one of the youngest people ever to run for vice president. His youth also means that if Romney wins and is re-elected, in 2020, Vice President Jindal would be a boyish 49-year-old who could win the nomination without much party division. At the same time, though, despite his youth, Jindal has a résumé of breathtaking brilliance. In fact, if put on the ticket, Bobby Jindal might be the most intellectually gifted person ever nominated to national office. He had offers to work in the private sector and doubtless become very rich, but he chose public service instead.

I agree completely!! I've brought up Jindal's name before. He is superb and brilliant beyond compare. Imagine Jindal up against Joe "Insert-Foot-in-Mouth" Biden, the useless career politician who's a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

The thing about this election is that it'll all come down to the swing states, and, Ohio is a must, must, must win, so on a strategic level, I'd go with Portman to win the Presidency, even though he's not as exciting as Jindal. I definitely would put either of them somewhere in a cabinet position.

In my humble opinion he has many qualified men/women to select from. If I were choosing I would go for what I'd gain, qualifications, intelligence, one to can withstand severe scruitiny (the dems will generate something) and one that I can certainly get along with. The drum roll please........--------I'd choose Rob Portman for many reasons.

I just have to think Romney is getting some good advice from some very smart people. Probably, Dick Morris and Karl Rove are privately weighing in on that one.

I have followed hm for a few years now and he is a smart man and wise politician. Plus I hope Obama picks a minority - I am so tired of the other side playing the race card
Rice Rubio or Jindal would be great picks
