Personally I really don't give a damn. But what I DO give a damn about is....SUDDENLY PEOPLE ARE GETTING THE DAMNED GAY PEOPLE SHOVED DOWN THEIR THROATS....IT IS GAY THIS AND GAY THAT.
Lasy year you never heard about the gays the way you do now...3 years ago you DEFINATELY didn't hear about the gays the way you do now.

If AMTRAK could get more riders it may not need to be subsidesed. Gay dollars are the same as straight dollars and every dollar helps pay the bills.

Railroads make exceedingly more money delivering freight. Amtrak doesn't get many passengers to begin with, and trying to target a very small segment of the population is poor advertising, fiendish special interests, or both.

It's fine by me; gay couples purportedly have more disposable income, so maybe can afford Amtrak better. It won't change Amtrak's certain doom, though; this turkey is soaking up way too many taxpayer dollars just so an elite can feel good about themselves.

It's interesting to see that both of those same-sex families were photographed in the same seat on the same train. They probably did not pay for those seats.

What is the problem? I'm sure lots of gay couples with children take Amtrak. Why shouldn't Amtrak make a statement that all are welcome on their trains? I think it's great!

I'm not saying the 1950s were perfect. There was still ignorance in that time just like there is today. No decade is perfect, but America had more moral fiber in the 50s than it does today.

The lesbian/Gay community has more discretionary spending than the average family. Amtrack is going for the money. Notice it is two men with a boy, and two women with a girl.

Many gay couples are adopting opposite sex children. I have a friend in NJ who along with his partner have adopted two girls. They are thriving.

Do find it curious that they would target gays with kids. That has to be a remarkably low figure at the risk of running off traditional families that might not be too comfortable hauling their kids overnight on a train full of gays.

Just sayin........

Hell, it's not like Amtrak has ever concerned itself with proper management or marketing in the first place.

They don't have to make money. Just like the post office. They will just cut services and bilk the taxpayer out of more money. That is why they always make decisions that would make no sense for a company that was trying to make money. The idiots in charge usually have a job for life with the government.
