We all know President Obama is good at campaigning and fundraising. In 2008 he broke all kinds of records for campaign contributions and fundraising efforts.

So what's different this time around? Why the anxious phone calls for more donations? Even with powerful surrogates like Bill Clinton fund-raising for him, he cannot keep up with Romney's wealthy GOP supporters.

Because potential Democratic or Liberal donors are largely motivated by idealism for what Mr. Obama could do for the country, not by the direct monitary benefit a Romney presidency could offer them personally, like many of Mr. Romney's potential donors are.

are far greater than those for Obama.

I contrubuted money the Obama campaign in the 2008. Since the Wisconsin recall I have become very disheartened. We can't outspend them. I am sure many of the Obama small donors feel that way.

I can think of two reasons right off the bat:

1. A lot of people who gave last time have figured out he's a POS.

2. The Middle Class donors who gave money the last time have less money this time because of his lousy economic policies and they've figured out he's a POS.

What the hell are you guys talking about? The Obama Campaign is doing significantly better than Romney at fundraising this election cycle with having 6.5 times more cash on hand than Romney(1). The problem is the number of conservative super-pacs significantly outnumber the number of liberal ones(2). Only 13% of Romney's fundraising comes from small individuals opposed to the 43% in Obama's(1). This disparity would be even larger if one looks at the super-pacs too. If Obama is outspent this general election it is because he relies primarily on many small contributions while Romney relies primarily on those who can write million dollar checks. Hurray for unlimited and unaccountable sums of money being spent to buy out elections!!!

In 2008 he was hyping "Hope and Change" and people thought he just might be something different. I, personally, wasn't fooled, but a lot of people were. This time around he is having to live with the abysmal record of failure, corruption, and deceit in his administration; and has proven himself just one more dyed-in-the-wool lying politician, Democrat flavor. Too many people have realized this to hand over their hard earned money to him in this lousy economy.
