Why is Obama exerting "executive privilege" w/ Fast & Furious", when such action only applies to his direct actions involved with it?

Executive Privilege is intended to protect the President's communications and actions, not the Attorney General's. Is the President more involved with "the program started by Bush" (their excuse of who started it) then what they want his devoted followers to believe? IF this is the fault of George Bush, why not support the revealing of documents? Do his followers care if the administration thinks they don't need to secure their right to transparency during future republican presidents? Will Obama supporters ever have a line in the sand where they will expect him to behave differently than GW? Holder testified he did not discuss Fast and Furious with President Obama. Yet Obama is claiming Executive Privilege. Did Holder LIE to Congress? Did Obama know about the Program, to be able to take such action? Or is Holder lying, and misusing the law?

Obama is doing this for the same reason Richard Nixon did it.

"Executive privilege protects communications with the president, the human being of the president, not with people that work for him and the Justice Department," Judge Andrew Napolitano said on FOX News today.
"If the attorney general sat down and discussed it with the president, he probably doesn't want the Congress and the public to know that, because we know of the awful events that occurred as a result of the Fast and Furious escapade. But we also know that executive privilege only pertains to military, diplomatic, and sensitive national security matters. Now, was fighting the drug gangs at the border a sensitive national security matter? And, if so, was the President of the United States of America personally involved in making decisions as to how to conduct that fight? If that's the case, this has reached a different level and we now know why the attorney general has ferociously defended these documents," he said.

"The Obama administration admits the letter was in error, but they have always maintained that the knowledge of these tactics did not reach the top political appointees in the Obama Department of Justice."!
