Just because a man was selected for the presidency doesn't make him a president...I knew better then to vote for a moron so i do not consider him my president. BO does not respect America and it's ppl, therefore he deserves no respect. Not once in 9 mos has he done anything to benefit Americans.View thread

After reading through a few pages of this blog, I had to come back to edit my comment.
Jarhead, my thanks and gratitude to all military men and women who have served and protected this country.
I also want to applogize for conservatives and liberals too, that have turned this blog into an adolescent cafeteria food fight.
Democrats are good people, just like Republicans are good people. Each have their own viewpoints and are allowed to express them when and if they see fit. But something has happened and it isn't good. The gap between these two very important viewpoints in our society has widened alarmingly.
Having a left and a right is necessary for the good of the whole. But when they stop working together to reach the balance of compromise, we are in a whole lotta trouble.
Some of the comments and hurled insults I have read here are worse than squabbling children, and just couldn't read any more of it.
There, I exercised my right to express my opinion about obama and I extended it to all the childish people here who posted such mean and hateful comments.
You know who you are.

Either way, he holds the title, and none of the presidents earned the title before they took office, they were elected and "given" that title.
Now, a really good question is, was it the American people that actually elected him, or was he put into office by some powers that be?
Little note to the libs...I don't like Bush either and didn't vote for him, so please layoff the "but Bush" comebacks.

conservative. If you don't like President Barack Obama
then that is your right, but to ask why he is President
just shows your ignorance and to tell you the truth
you and people that think like you are really dividing
this country at a time when we all need to come together.
Let me ask you JarHead...why was Bush called
a President?????? One more thing, why the need
to put a title after your name Jar Head?? USMC2009 means
absolutely nothing.

Of course, you are certainly free to refer to him any way you wish. I would advise, though, that when you are on duty and in uniform, it would be best to use the official title, regardless of what you think of him. Just as you must use proper rank toward superiors, whether you think they are competent or not.

Of course that goes both ways. For example, some might say the USMC in your nickname stands for United Sillies Masterbatory Corp because any real Marine would not disrespect the democratically elected leader of our great nation.

What I originally said is true, He goes to Europe and disrespects America.
He is destroying the Dollar by spending and still wants to inflict us with this costly Universal Health care. And at the same time says it will reduce the deficit, how that works is beyond me.
He sends Union Thugs after Senior American Citizens during the town hall meetings that do not want his Marxist Universal Health care. In fact 85% of Americans said with a loud voice we don't want it and yet he lies and says they do.
He has stalled sending Troops to Afghanistan and is talking about letting the Taliban have political power in that Country.
And all you can do is call me a Bastard and tell me to go to hell for pointing out the Obvious. If Obama continues steering this Country on its current path, that is were we are all going. Hun ;-)

A seargent is NEVER called (sir) due to the FACT he's Enlisted, unless he's a Drill Instructor. Then that title is gone after one graduates 'Bootcamp'. As for Officers one has an option. One can use the term 'Sir' if you are one to throw plattitudes out to those whom haven't earned them. OR one can use the persons rank such as Lt, Capt, Col. If they have the rank and haven't EARNED the title of 'Sir'. There are also terms for those persons one has respect for without using a formal impersonal title such as sir. Simply by refering to their position in the rank structure. Such as Skipper (for a ships captain), COB (cheif of the boat), Top (first seargent) Gunny or Guns(Gunnery Seargent) Cheif, or Warrant.
Never call a man sir unless he's a man you can respect. In most cases. Respect is EARNED in the Marines not blindly given away.
However, the title of the President is still President. You can choose to not call him Sir all you want. He's still your COMINCH (btw: what's the contemporary term for that? I am stuck in WW2).
Listen to the cadence of the drum. Left foot on the base.
