Why Is Arizona So Backwards

boots 2012/03/20 21:20:59
So as we have all noticed in the past few years the great state of Arizona seems to want to go back to the 20th century .

With crazy ideas like bartering chickens for healthcare their openly racist immigration policies and now the way they are trying to get doctors to lie to their patients if their unborn have any mental or physical deformities .

Why is Arizona so hell bent on being the only child left behind ?

Well I think I may have cracked it !
Arizona was the last land locked state to join the union the 48th to be precise .
We all know back in the cowboy days where all the criminals and anti government people lived was out west .
Well seeing that Arizona was the last place for these people to hide (it was that or go to good ole Mexico ) they all ended up in Arizona .

My theory comes from looking at how the more south/west you go in the states the more bat shit crazy people seem to get .

So in summation I think America needs to take it easy on poor slightly slow Arizona being as they are America's younger brother he seems to just be going through growing pains .
All you need to do is grab him by his ankles kicking and screaming all the way into the 21st century table and make him eat his veggies .
When he grows up he will thank you for it .

Arizona is racist

I don't want to give AZ any benefit of the doubt (or age.) This state doesn't want to go back to the 20th century, they are insisting in going back to the 19th century.
I suppose you also heard of H2524 that gives employers in this state--this means all employers--the right to fire an employee if she is using birth control OR she can get a "note from her doctor" literally, stating that she is using birth control for other medical problems. This state wants to be a lily white state with white old men and one manipulated old white women in complete control.

Illegal Immigration is just that! It is ILLEGAL. Nobody is against legal immigration, but any country that allows the flood of criminals across its border without plugging the hole in the dam is foolish and suicidal!

The Government is doing fine .
Why don't you go after the big corporations who love to hire cheap labor so they can drive down their costs and force Americans to work at a lower wage .

You can not blame people for wanting a better life and for coming when corporate America pretty much set the bate .
You have to blame the capitalist systems flaws even if you love the system .
    It needs slight repairs .

    Five Facts About Immigration

We all know that the United States is primarily a nation of immigrants and their descendants. But, it is also true that the United States is an independent nation in part because of a reaction to a restrictive immigration policy. Among the grievances against King George set forth in the Declaration of Independence in 1776 was a concern that the king had worked to prevent and discourage immigration to the colonies.

Our status as one united nation also depends on having one immigration and immigration enforcement policy set by the federal government in Washington, DC. When the United States adopted its Constitution in 1787, the nation settled on being one united nation rather than a loose confederation of separate independent states. If each state, as Arizona attempted in SB 1070, could adopt its own immigration enforcement policy, we would cease to be one nation.

Critical industries in the United States depend on undocumented immigrant workers.Agricultural farming has been an important part of our history and remains a crucial industry today. Several studies have estimated that well over half of all agricultural crop workers in the United States are undocumented.(1) Moreover, there are no indications that American-born workers have an interest in adopting the lifestyle of migratory farm workers.

There is no single “line” to wait to immigrate legally to the United States. Our current immigration system discriminates on the basis of national origin, or ancestry, requiring much longer waits for those from countries like Mexico, China, India, and the Philippines. For example, the adult son or daughter of a United States citizen who comes from most countries in the world currently waits four to five years to immigrate, while the adult son or daughter of a naturalized United States citizen from Mexico must wait almost 18 years to receive a legal immigrant visa.(2)

More than two million undocumented immigrants came to this country as minor children.(3) Many of these immigrants went to school here and were raised as American kids. Our national values have never punished or blamed children for acts that they committed while under the direction of their parents.
