Why haven't any of the people who hate Obama so much run for political office themselves?

Because I'm smart enough to know what I am qualified and not qualified to do. That alone makes me smarter than the President.

On a side note, I actually have on the local level and currently serve in a position for which I am qualified.

How is it a flaw in the system for someone who realizes they are qualified for a certain political position not running for it. The one I chose is one that, although I don't claim to be the best, I am qualified for having 25 years experience in that particular area.

I was referring to the first part and that, if Obama is as ill qualified for the job as people claim he is, there is a massive flaw in your government if such an ill qualified person can make it all the way to president.

While I will say that our system does have some flaws, it wasn't the system but the people picking him that were flawed.

The video link below has a person from the Howard Stern staff interviewing people in Harlem in NY City prior to the eletion. He asked them things that were part of the McCain candidacy but attributed them to Obama. The three in the video truly believed that the things being campaigned for by McCain were actually Obama ideas. They voted but had no clue as to why they were voting for Obama.

They are individuals that vote but their lack of knowledge does not reflect whether a system is good or not. It reflects they are clueless. What you are trying to equate would be like throwing the entire bicycle away just because the chain broke.

No chance of winning. For everyone's talk of wanting a "common man" a "non-politician" the truth is, we would never elect a person lacking in that sort of political experience. When Obama was running for president people constantly complained that he didn't have enough experience, so why would they elect somebody who has had none??

And do you have any valid, verifiable proof that they haven't? Also I don't think disagreeing with Obama's policies or calling him on his lies, failures, incompetence and hypocrisies is hate. I didn't agree with everything that Bush did and voiced my opposition. I also called him on his lies, but I didn't hate him.

Again, I see some hate but I also see individuals who do not agree with the direction he is taking the country. And how do you know that these individuals you refer to aren't currently political figures? What says they aren't using a public computer to post their opinions. You're on the internet and to make an assumption that none of the people that disagree (or as you say hate) Obama haven't run for office (or that they might even currently hold office for that fact) is very unrealistic. But that's your opinon and you're entitled to it.

yeah, I avoid those "SODA HEAD Booby Traps" everyday that I log on to this site. Much respect to those that are brazen enough to walk in the Lion's Den and try to reason with the "I HATE OBAMA" circle Jerk clique but I can gauge by the the way the thread is written and by the author of the thread that any response no matter how logical or based on REAL stats is gonna be greeted with "YOU'RE an IDIOT!!" Why bother?
