Why don't progressives understand the word FREEDOM?

Liberals feel that it's better that EVERYone be under the control of the government and regulations, if a minority is given more rights. Most of them are too young, or have such short termed memories that they don't remember the days where your personal freedom wasn't being threatened by such thing as drones, the TSA, your mail not being reviewed, your freedom to make purchases without being tracked, your car being able to be driven without being tracked, your presence on the street not being recorded at every location, or your right to choose what you want to eat, in what quantities, or if you want to buy health insurance or not, without "penalties"... Small step, by small step, a bit more is being taken away from us every day.

Progressive means small steps, Radical means big steps. But at which direction?.... Democrats and Republicans each only understand half of the equation of Liberty. When society is tired of getting attacked on their economic freedom they vote Republican. When people get tired of their social liberty being attacked they vote Democrat witht the exception of between Reagan and Bush since JFK Americans have been going back and forth between the parties. The pedulum swinging lower and lower each year (how's your guts so far). Losing more and more of their freedoms as years go by.

Progressives are communists. They believe that the government should own everything and control everything. They hate the Constitution. There is no freedom.

They lack understanding of anything other than their own corrupt perverted agenda,and I sometimes wonder if that doesn't evade them at times

Because they do not believe in Choice. To them choice is dirty word. Freedom, Liberty go hand in hand. They all boil down to the fact that to have them, you need the ability to chose. Others can not make choices for you. If they do, and you allow them to, then your no longer a thinking human being, you noting but a lemming following whatever leader stands in power. Be it a government, or an individual. The Freedom of Choice is our right as a Free People. That is why the progressives hate the Constitution, and our founding document, the Declaration of Independence. And that is the fact of the matter.

Progressives understand both the definition and the practice of freedom. Since it is an anathema to their goals of slavery to the government, they oppose/oppress it at every opportunity.

The problem is revenues. We need the spending or we get a depression, unless we cut military spending, which does little to create jobs here.

You can confiscate all production and not pay off the national debt. Spending is our problem until the idiots in power reognize that and stop it, we will continue down the path where our debt is no longer sought after by other nations. When that happens thankfully, this entitlement nation will end.

Cutting military spending by 50% would be a good start.

Spending will eventually destroy what we call America.

Both choices are true for them. "Freedom" to them means getting everything from the government. "Freedom" scares them because it means they would have to be responsible and actually take care of themselves instead of living off the government tit.
