Why dont liquor stores want wine sold in grocery stores?

gookoy 2012/06/25 20:59:26

liquor stores can still sell wine and liquor just like they do now. Dont they know that in states that allow wine or wine and liquor in grocery stores, the independent wine stores thrive in those states? Its good for the small wine/liquor stores, its good for the grocery stores, its good for the consumers, its good for the alcohol companies, its good for jobs.

It really isn't a good idea for liqueur to be sold in grocery stores. At grocery stores they are less likely to check your i.d. I know I've seen a group of young teens walk out of wal-mart with a case of beer and the check out women didn't even ask for i.d. Local business are more cautious about it, they have much more to loose.
