The initial problem came because we betrayed our democratic ideals after WWI and II. At that point the Arab world loved the US, because they saw us a neutral arbiter who would support independent Arab states. Wilson talked a big game about self-determination for colonized groups, but caved to the French and the British, who carved up the Ottoman Empire.

The second betrayal came in independence period of WWII. We were so afraid of Communists taking over that we supported any tinpot dictator and crushed democratic expectations. Futhermore, we supported the Zionists in their attempts to create a powerful, independent Israel. From our perspective it was justice for the Holocaust and protection for the Jews of the world. From the Arab perspective, it was a group who came in and colonized Israel, driving the inhabitants out.

After that, the Middle Eastern intelligentsia quit trusting the US. But that didn't lead to hate, except in Iran (because of our extremely close relationship with the Shah).

The new breed of hate came from the teachings of al-Wahhab. It was a reaction to the decline of the Islamic world. Until 1600 or 1700, the Islamic world was ahead of Europe in pretty much every way. But then Europe got its act together and proceeded to dominate the world. Wahab...

The new breed of hate came from the teachings of al-Wahhab. It was a reaction to the decline of the Islamic world. Until 1600 or 1700, the Islamic world was ahead of Europe in pretty much every way. But then Europe got its act together and proceeded to dominate the world. Wahabi thinking says that what changed wasn't Europe becoming more technologically advanced, but Islam abandoning their roots. They felt that there were two enemies: the regimes which we had propped up in Muslim countries, and the West which was propping them up.

Most Wahabists believed that the first step was to remake the Muslim world in their image. But they repeatedly got smashed by the (at least semi) modern regimes. Osama's main contribution was to say, essentially, "Look, we're never going to be able to overthrow our governments if they're getting aid from the West. So we've got to force the West out of the Muslim world." He promoted the strategy which had been successful in Afghanistan against the Soviets: draw the US into wars in Muslim countries, set up insurgencies, and bleed us until we either broke down or withdrew from the Muslim world.

Eh, I could keep writing for days on this. But that's a general overview of how I see it.

Having the electorial process in the USA as opposed to a dictatorship rule, would to many foreigners, I assume, be cause for the vast majority of mid. east hatred of America and it's people. Why the hate?, reasons stemming from primarily political policies, have provided all the reason "they" need to rally up their masses. It's very difficult to remain objective for me at this point so I'm gonna stop here, I appreciate being able to be heard. I dont feel a hatred but I have strong opinion and concern for the direction things appear to be headed.

Islam is a religion with mostly dangerous and evil strands and few peaceful strands. Even the Sunni branch, which is mostly peaceful, has teachings that I consider evil. Now, it's true that many if not most Muslims are peaceful and non-evil, but in the Middle East, which is ruled by Islamic Shariah Law, it is legal to beat wives, among many other evil actions which are too numerous to list here.

Islamic theology is more hateful towards the Jewish people even than Martin Luther was during his delusional, aged state in which he was ill and reading Anti-Jesus literature. "Oh, Faithful Muslim, there is a Jew hiding behind me, come and KILL HIM" Is in the Koran. I forget which Surah, but it's still there.

Ahmadinijad wants to kill all the Jewish people he can, and doesn't care about his own people's welfare, and he's backed by the Ayatollah. (I forget which Ayatollah Iran has now). He's said a whole lot of times that he wants to destroy Israel in many different words. He's doing this for a fanatical Muslim Eschatological belief about the coming of the Mahdi. Turkey's becomine more Anti-Israel because the radical Islamic beliefs, and it has mostly been a secular state for decades, despite having the freedom to be Muslim.

With all that said, Muslims are Human beings like the rest of us and deserve respect, but the words of their Koran must be carefully examined so we can know what their fanatical followers really want to be done.

Now Suffi Islam is supposedly a very peaceful and good branch of Islam, but I don't know much about that. I don't think Suffi Islam has much of a stronghold in the Middle East.

In my view, it started when the British and the French stated to break up sections of the middle east into artificial countries they would rule with greater ease and "efficiency", creating areas where warring, usually inimical tribes and sects were forced communities in which no one felt at ease. Then the US, in our infinite wisdom, decided we did not like the person the nation of Iran had elected in a democratic process, so we had him overthrown and forced the enthronement of the Shah as he was "our friend and ally". As he proceeded to steal the country blind and create one of the most corrupt regimes ever seen, we continued to "stand by our man" until the resentment boiled over into the taking of the American Embassy in Teheran and the establishment of the present theocracy. We supported Saddam Hussein in Iraq and he was our man to fight the Iranis, until he got greedy and invaded Kuwait and thus "Desert Storm" was born. The rest is pretty straight forward to follow. I do not wish to get into the Israeli-Palestinian issue as that is one can of worms no one will ever be able to untangle.

There are numerous reasons they are ALL fundamental:
    1. We are not Muslim. (Or sunni or shiite for that matter)
    2. We support and are allied with Israel
    3. Our culture (Music, Movies, lifestyle, etc) offends them every day.
    4. They think that we support and prop up their own corrupt governments like Mubarak because we send them aid.
    5. They are envious of us. They have an inferiority/superiority complex. They don't understand why their region of the world is only 1 step above Africa but below everybody else.
    6. Many of them still live in the 12th century. And they want the rest of the world to live as they do because thats what their religion teaches them.

Blackwinter, im a south african but a very well informed person knows why the USA and Israel are a threat to the whole global economic and political structure. The US citizen are a victim of an occult group which is supporting the Long plan to prepare for the coming of the False messiah who will be a Jew. Because the prophecies about the messiah Jesus(peace be upon him) states that the messiah will rule the region between the mediterranian sea and the Euphrates river, the Jews and Romans denied him(Jesus) in his arrival calling him an impostor.

So now the Jews (Zionist) [not orthodox Jews] have long waited and prepared in secret for the coming of this 666 (KFR) false messiah (the real impostor). Thats why prior to 1946 the was no state of Israel, but It had to be established because that will be the grand throne of the False messiah. thats why also the flag of Israel is a map of ruler-ship for the 666 the seal of satan. the blue lines (not the star) represents the two streams i.e mediterranian sea and Euphrates river. the 6 pointed Star originates from the sign that was engraved in the ring of Solomon son of David (peace b upon them), the impostor wants to rule from where Solomon and Jesus ruled. (Ask yourself what was the movie "the Lord of the rings" about)

dont you ask yourself why do u have twin towers in America? do you think its just a design? The twin towers draws its origin from the temple of Solomon (Masjid ul Aqsa) in Jerusalem with the structure in front of them together they are called the GATE! why gate? this is getting deeper(email me if you want more details on this). do not be deceived by the main stream media telling you this and that.

The false messiah according to prophecies will live on Earth for 40 days, One day like a heavenly year=1000 years, One day like a heavenly month=83 years and day like a heavenly week=21 years One day like a heavenly day=3years, the British empire/monarchy dates back to the year 900 CE (not referring to the merge of England and Scotland which dates back to the 17th century)

Do your math,900+1000=1900, 1917 America officially enters the world war as a steping stone of becoming the world's giant state, 1917+83=2000, 2001 Illuminati offers a major sacrifice to their deity Baphomet and that they might invade middle east so that they might establish bases in over 10 countries in the middle east for the establishment and protection of the last global state of Israel!, then add 2001+21=2022 something big is coming up people, and your government together with the CIA which stages all types of events has already planned it.

The US paper money will be attacked saying " its recession" and all types of lies so that it transferres its powers to Israel and thats when Israel will fully establish the 100% use of electronic money. so that everything lies under the hand of the anti christ.

One dollar of America is written "in Zionist Bankers we trust". Read the booklet titled "the protocols of the learned elders of zion", In religion theres wisdom, thats why they are trying by all means that u do not receive this valuable piece of information.

the false messiah is one eyed (he's got two eyes but sees with only one eye) while his hair will be thick in his body, he will have curly hair in his head, a little bit short and chubby like and crooked legs. then with the code 666 (revelation 13:18) in between his eyes. the meaning of the code 666=KFR is (ka fa ra) i.e non believer. Muslims(the believers) are not fighting the US citizens but the sytem! Behold do not be deceived by the elite.Lo! they are wealthy, prominent in their own eyes and in the eyes of the world but very very poor in the eyes of the believers.! Last and final World war is coming, the prophecies say its a war between believers and non believers but the mainstream media will say its a war against terrorism.

Wahab...

    Its religious, economic and political.

The middle east hasn't gone through a revolution that has allowed for the westernization of their way of life. Broadly people have little say in their own governance and the larger portion of the region has no significant economy to sustain its citizens. So without economic opportunities or a say in ones life they remained tied to severe interpretations of their local faith.

First, not everyone in the Middle East hates us. Those who do, however, believe we meddle too much in their affairs, desecrate their holy places, prop up oppressive dictators, etc. And for the most part they're right.

Americans seem to have a pathological need to tell other people how to live--up to and including the use of military force or foreign intrigue if the objects of our jingoism don't readily comply. Ours may be the best way to live, but it should never be forced on those who don't want it.

Of course, the issue is WAY more complicated than can be addressed in a single post. There are myriad other factors to consider, like the fact that liberal-flavored statists have CONSISTENTLY kept us from developing and utilizing our own energy resources. That, in turn, has all but necessitated military involvement in the energy producing nations of the middle east.
