Syria's been buying Russian armament for years, and they allow Russia to operate a strategically important naval base there. PLUS, I think Putin waits to see how the US feels about a given issue and takes the opposite side, just to be contrary.

Russia only looks out for itself. As long as Syria is buying, Russia well be selling.

With Putin in power again, you can expect Russia to stick it to the US and it's allies at every opportunity.

We don't only think for ourselves. We saved most of Europe in World War 2 from Hitler. The Americans say that they defeated Hitler but they only came in at the last second when we already basically did it.
