Why does Obama oppose Voter ID?
Barack Obama and his attorney general oppose state laws the require you show identification to vote in elections.

Obama DOJ Targets Texas, Strikes Down Voter I.D. Law
This despite the fact that the vast majority of Americans including Democrats support showing ID to vote.

The allegation by Barack Obama, Eric Holder and other liberals is that requiring voter ID is...

wait for it....

RACIST!!!

But is it racist or is it that voter ID laws minimize voter fraud?

We all know why Obama and Holder oppose voter ID, because if the unions, illegal aliens and liberal activists can't engage in voter fraud, Democrats would lose a lot of elections.

the main reason I believe is that it can be a form of poll tax(prohibited under the Twenty-fourth Amendment) if you are required to use a paid form of ID even if its a fee of $16(Texas which expires every 6 years until age 60 then its $6 and doesn't expire)

Simply put; voter ID hurts the Democratic Party, as it drastically reduces voter fraud, which benefits Democrats, who approve of dead people voting through live proxies; voting multiple times; coming across state lines to vote; and voting in place of the very elderly in nursing homes. The Democratic Party has been infiltrated by liars, communists, socialists, and deadbeats on the public dole.

Because he and the rest of the LWNJ's have bought into this disenfranchisement BS. If that be the case let me go back to my old State issued drivers license that does not have to meet the standards of the Real ID Act. Let me open a bank account without picture ID. Let me board an airliner with out having to show picture ID and then stripping near naked at the airport. The excuse that some people can't go and get an ID is a myth. As of this posting they have six months to get a picture ID before November. If you can't get off your ass and go get an ID you shouldn't be voting in the first place.

Because he ripped of $500 billion from the Social Security fund to pay the illegals and his buddies to satisfy his next election. How can he get as many votes as he did in 2008 with LEGAL votes? Got to have the dead people, felons, and illegals and all the unions paid for to vote this year. Its so simple it stinks.

Just about everyone has ID of some sort, I am so sick of the left claiming that poor people, elderly people and urbanites just have no way or money to get an ID. You need an ID to get assistance, cash a check or go to the hospital, just about everyone has one. This isn't even about illegals voting, this is about voter fraud plain and simple. The way it works in Texas, you can register as many times as you want without ID and go vote as many times as you want. It is ridiculous and shocking to see how they handle elections here.

...or at every voting spot have voters with their id's [ just the regular gov. or state issued], matched against the database composed of legit voters. if there is a discrepancy, let them issue a provisional vote to be checked as needed.

well it certainly isn't a human rights violation because we arent the only country that does it, where does it say in your constitution that you have the right to choose to vote?

The interesting thing about the US constitution is that our bill of rights does not define what we can do. It defines what the government cannot do.

Amendment 1: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...

Amendment 2: ...the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

    and so on.

When you get to amendment 9, it basically says, just because a right isn't listed does not mean it doesn't exist.

In other words, my rights are limited by the Constitution, government's is. Which, actually is why it is detested by our current President.

I'm optimistic that there will be another greatest generation. The flower child/baby boomers running things will be dead and buried in a matter of decades.

Eventually the government will fill itself with sane people, or it will go bankrupt. A bankrupt bureaucracy cannot enforce its will.

Our gov is already bankrupt. has been for awhile now. they are functioning only on the belief that they arent. if the public en masse woke up to the egregious acts of treason the gov has committed recently there would be a massive outcry resulting in civil war.
