Mr Krauthammer on Orielly made a good point in not in any way excusing this but pointing that a dead body should never be disrespected ,but that the bomber disrespected his own body by blowing it up first......This puts our troops in terrible terrible danger more than normal...I think left and right should protest the LA TIMES OUR TROOPS ARE BOTH SIDES LEFT AND RIGHT

This has nothing to do with the President. And why would the President not want to run on one of the most successful records any President has ever accomplished in their first three years? The LA Times has a duty to report the facts. If you're angry about it, direct your anger where it belongs - at these idiot troops who posed for and took these photos - not at the messenger.

The LA Times had the pictures and was asked to run the story but to hold the gruesome pictures back The paper said Screw You and has now put all of our troops in danger from the same nut cases that just hate Americans

The easiest way to avoid future controversy is perhaps not to have your picture taken doing things that rightly or wrongly will antagonise these people. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to understand that there are certain things that are unacceptable when you are an occupying force. You can't complain of wasp stings when you have been hitting the nest.

These guys were suicide bombers and terrorists, but that does not make it OK to act like this - it becomes difficult to assume the moral high ground.

The easiest way to avoid controversy is to find the leak and slap their asses in the brig for a real long time. This crap would never see the light of day if somebody did not pull the pictures from a file and post or send them to the paper.

the body parts were from a suicide bomber ... any islamic nut-job who gets upset about publication of photos of what's left of a suicide bomber should spread the word that it is (past) time for people to stop blowing themselves up ... our active military people are under a lot of stress ... if they want to make fun of some jackass who decided to blow himself up, it's AOK with me ...
