Why do the Liberals, who want government run healthcare because they say it will be a better system and more affordable, not support vouchers so I can afford to provide what I see as a better education to my kids?

Because they want something for free, no matter who else pays for it!

I see Liberal opposition to vouchers as opposition to losing control over something they use to influence the way people think. They don't want healthcare reform to help people, they want control over people. If they thought what they were doing was the best, they would be a part of it and not opt themselves out. Same way with education. They know they would lose a lot of people to private school education many of which would be the top performing students.

I was speaking more of the voting liberal and not about the party leaders.

It's the voting Liberal that pressures the party leaders to oppose such legislation.

When the ice cream man comes down the block, little kiddies don't care where the money comes from, as long as they get their fudgesicle fix! That's Democrats! They are hooked on the government dole!

If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you can always count on the support of Paul.

Unless you are in San Francisco, where they prefer Peter! *LMAO*

    Conservative in California
Vouchers, though it improves the education of children is contrary to teachers unions. Same reason that Obamacare has nothing to do with improving healthcare, but only about controlling the American People.

As long as public education can maintain its monopoly, it can control learning if you can call it that today. Those in charge are very well aware of what would happen if they made it more affordable by offering vouchers. It scares them to death because they know others offer a better system and they would lose.

Yes. They, along with the RINO's shoot it down every time it comes up for consideration. They say it will ruin the public educational system if it is possible to ruin it any more. I say the public ecucational system is afraid of competition. I spend 13 years in it before I left it. I wasn't going down with a sinking ship.
