Why do straight people have a problem with gay people?

Straight people are only ok with gay people, when we remain in our place. As long as we don't cross the line, and adovcate for a safer and better living standard for openly gay people. As long as we don't marry the person we love, or don't become parents, heteros are ok with us.
The second we want EQUALITY, that is when heteros get mad, and start banning us from doing things. Gay people can never be leaders, we always have to follow straight people, and obey them. You can talk about your husband or wife, but we have to remain silent. You can hold your lovers hand, but we have to stay in the closet.
Why can't you let us be free?

So, when over 95% of a population is one way, i.e., “straight”, then “gay” isn’t normal. Deal with it.

Plenty of us support and fight alongside the gay community for equal treatment.
This sort of generalized, angry, lashing out is not helpful.
