Why do Ron Paul supporters say that the people want Ron Paul?

I hope they snap out of it before it's too late.

I sincerely think that my fellow Ron Paul supporters believe that the majority of Americans are still intelligent and want a free republic.

This Ron Paul supporter knows better. The average American is a lazy, selfish idiot that would prefer some comfort with their tyranny rather than work for their freedom.

America is DONE. The big question is how everyone handles the crash and burn that is coming very soon.

there is a huge majority of people who will follow party rather than their own conscience or principles. It is amazing how many here on SH think RP the better person for the job but will vote Romney or Obama ... sheer stupidity in my eyes and in the eyes of many.

I really do not know. I like him but to tell you the truth, but America has been trained in school to be a bunch of socialist. I am surprised that there are that many people that are willing to voted for a Republican. I have to say that most of the Republicans are to the left of center. It would be hard to get John Kennedy elected today. He would be to the right of Romney.

He won the virgin islands popular vote and has won even more states based on delegates. Delegates are all that matters.

maybe they believe that the American people don't really know what they want and that if they only just knew what they truly wanted then he and not Romney would be the one running for president.

He did win some primaries, but you were duped by corporate propaganda. Even his fellow candidates commented that wherever they went, there were crowds of supporters for Ron Paul. The voting machines are electronic and subject to rigging. There are lawsuits in the works over RNC fraud. The Republican Party has become a cesspool of ignorance, hypocrisy, and blood. I'm getting real sick of the people who claim to support the Constitutional Republic bashing the true conservative who has a decades long record of proving he is a strict adherent to that contract, claiming to be made up in large part by the "moral majority" who oppose the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles by being warmongers, murderers, hypocrites, liars, greedy, etc, and opposing the man who gives back excess funding for his office, refuses the benefits, was a doctor who gave charity through taking care of poor patients, who believes our Nation should interact with the philosophy of the Golden Rule, etc., people who claim they believe in our national sovereignty and are against globalism, but support the international financier, globalist, warmonger over the man who doesn't believe we should have a global military order, should live in peace and trade with others, etc. The list goes on forever practically.

A vote for Ron Paul is a vote that don't count in electing an American President, Ron Paul can not win.

As a write in no, but that doesn't mean that it is a vote for Obama. I find it so comical that people on the right say that voting for a third party / write in is a vote for Obama while a person on the left says that it is a vote for Romney.

A vote for a person is a vote for that person.

Apparently, Ron Paul is not in the democratic party but the Republican party, his philosophy appeal more to the Republicans then to the Democrats, therefore more republicans votes will go to him instead of backing the prime candidate of the Republican party Mitt Romney

Romney has said he supported those things or has not said he opposed them! Should we just ignore what he has said or what he has not said?
