Why do people who denied God there whole life think they earn the right to go to heaven because they think there are good people

In a way it does. Even though I belive in God and the bible I have always had a truble with religion and the church. Alot of people will tell you if you don't live your life in a certian way even though you never hurt anyone that you will go to hell. On the other hand you may have a guy who has commited a couple of ax murders but they will preach that he accepct the Lord he will go to heaven. See the problem.

you must go though Jesus to get to the father and only his is just and only he decides the truth and what it is in his heart. don't worry what they say or do, worry about your own relationship with the lord. I personally don't believe in organized religion

Not many people will be in heaven that I want to talk to, anyway. And besides, if I am a good person, and I just am not entirely convinced by a book that was written, rewritten, and translated literally hundreds of times, and God still thinks I should go to hell, well, maybe God is a major dick, and I don't want to hang out with him anyway.

I don't know why am accepting the bait, but here it goes.

1) Most people that don't believe in God don't believe in Heaven either.
2) Billions of people thoughout history never even heard of the God I believe you are talking about. If there is a God I believe He has many names and people worship Him according to their custom.
3) According to Christian beliefs you can be a horrible person your whole life and still go to heaven if you accept Him and repent before you die.
4) The modern images of heaven and hell basically come from works of fiction written by Dante in the early 1300's.

1) It dosent matter if they believe in Heaven or not - there is one and if they dont believe they have committed the ONLY Sin God will NOT forgive.
2)There is ONE God. Thats it. He has ONE name.
3) God forgives only if you MEAN it. He will not accept scared requests just because they dont want to go to hell. Hes already said what He thinks of lukewarm believers. Its not pretty for them for a reason.
4) Hell is also real. Many people im sure wish they had life to live all over again. They are now in eternal torment because of their actions and unbelief.

I totally respect your views. I too am a Christian. However, I do not believe mortals have the capacity to fully understand God. God is a being way beyond us. He gave us something to believe in through the early Christians that compiled the Holy Bible. I believe He is a God of love and mercy.

I never really questioned anything until one day a co-worked said the Dalai Lama was going to hell. I work in a Christian high school. I just couldn't believe that the God I believe in would send someone to hell that has devoted his whole life to God and doing good, but then as a WELS Lutheran I am supposed to believe the Pope is going to hell too...which I don't believe.

People think that way because they dont know God. They dont know the bible. Its really as simple as that.

no its not. and besides, god is forgiving. unless ive been lied to mty whole life, god is good, if he does exist. he will forgive, but thats not saying watever sin thats bein "forgiven" wont go unpunished.

Yes you are correct...but you have to REPENT and mean it in order for Him to forgive. A person cant wait until they die to be forgiven - it dosent work that way. Read the bible. It clearly states everything im saying to you.
But no - if you repent on ANY sin committed its totally forgiven in Gods eyes as if it was never committed.
Thats why Jesus died on the cross. So that if we wanted too, we could have eternal life.

Yes - and then God will forgive. But only if you dont do it again. I mean like you cant go out and kill someone today and then find God tomorrow and then say 'i repent of my sins' and then do it again the next.
Jesus died for a reason. His blood had to be shed so that we can all have the benefits of real forgiveness and true life.
A person can NOT be half-way with God. He even states that in the bible as well.
Its all as simple as ABC. God made sure and made it VERY easy to understand. Its just that some people dont want to hear it. They are comfortable in their own sinful lives because they have been led to believe its okay. That they will not have to pay for it later. They are wrong. They will understand someday...probably too late for too many of them. But who will they blame? No one. They cant be judged when they die and say 'oh wow well i guess you ARE real...can i still go?'
Too late. What are they gonna say if God asks them why they never believed that which they didnt see? What if He asks them why they never understood all the chances they had in their lives to repent and they never did?
Some people get many chances...some only get one. They must take it when it comes because we could all die today. Today is all we really know we have to make things right with God.

God wants it to be that way. He wants us to have faith in Him and know Hes there all the time no matter what.

Sometimes its hard to exist in a world full of sin and i looked on ur profile...you being 14 im sure you are constantly exposed to peer pressure and all that goes with that. But God is who He says He is. None of this down here matters. Its about something bigger and something ALOT better. All this is just temporary. Every person must make a choice to either be temporarily in the world or become fully of the world.
Christians make the first choice.

Christianity isnt a 'foreign' religion. I have no clue what you are talking about.
If you mean things like mormons and Jehovahs Witnesses...then they will know the truth in their life - they have already been exposed to it - its up to them if they accept the truth of Gods words or be led by a lie and go to hell.

im not saying that christianity is a foreign religion. i mean kids in foreign countries. africa for example, christianity isnt their only religion. they have their own native religions. and to pass down tradition, they pass it to thier kids. are the kids gonna get punished for that?
