From the first moment that the Right Wing realized that there was a possibility that a black man might be elected President of the United States, they have conducted and endless campaign of disinformation to try to cast him as an "outsider", as "not one of us", as someone who "doesn't understand American values". That's why even though President Obama released his birth certificate over four years ago (not to mention being the only candidate in history to have even been asked for it) the birthers continue their delusions that President Obama is "not an American". That's why the fact that the President actually knows the proper pronunciation of words like "Pakistan" evokes attacks. And the most hypocritical part of the ludicrous "Obama is a Muslim" nonsense has to be that while continuing this campaign they simultaneously attack the President because he attended a Christian Church for the last 20 years, the same church he was married in, because they don't like one sermon the Church's preacher once made.
Meanwhile, President Obama is the only candidate in the race who doesn't believe that his soul will one day wind up on the Planet Kolob.

Seriously they guy goes to church every Sunday or otherwise keeps his faith. It wouldn't matter to me either way.

My own thought is that he's an atheist at heart, but sympathizes most with Islam because that's what he was around as a kid.
and they do not know Islam and what's the thing that makes you be a Muslim / and if they know about Islam ,
they want to put more pressure on him ... just for political reason and election , voting ....
His father and step father were Muslim
He claimed that he once was a Muslim (as a child I believe)
He was raised as a Muslim
He was enrolled in school as a Muslim
He has twice slipped up and referred to "My Muslim Faith"
I'm sure there are other reasons as well
Like I wrote the man claims to be Christian and I take him at his word but I certainly understand why others don't.

Many Christians have a hard time relating to the black liberation theology church he attended in Chicago.
You've obviously heard all the Pro-Islam comments he made in speeches and his books.
And the fact that it took him like 6 months to find a church... and then he almost never attends.
It all adds in with the general feeling that nobody actually KNOWS this guy.
And he may be a moderate Democrat like some say.
But he is catering to those on the far left just to get votes.
That bothers me.
