I don't know any liberals who are afraid to say they're liberal, but I know plenty of people who claims OTHERS are liberals when they're NOT.
If you haven't noticed some of the most rabid of these here on SH and in the electorate are now abandoning these monikers and are calling themselves Moderates...it won't be long before that is a dirty word too...
Sounds like Reagan/Bush more than Clinton/Obama style.
Bush was not a free market believer, nor a believer in limited government. He paid lipservice like any good Republican, but that was about it.
it appears to be a relative term whenever used here. Strange.
