Why do liberals think in a perfect world without man, the temperature of the Earth would remain constant?

They are just like the Republicans, living in a fantasy world. The two-party system will be the end of America.

There was an eco movement that started in the late 50's and into the 60's that taught the gullible youth of that time that man is the worst thing to inhabit the planet at that we are the destructors. Now this same youth is in leadership positions and now they are teaching our kids the same crap.

Garbage in, garbage out. They threw away their logic for feel good gestures that do not ammount to a hill of beans.

It seems like they fell asleep during the geology portion of grade school science. The world is constantly changing. It has been since the beginning and it will continue to change even when we're all dead and gone. What makes man think WE'RE the cause of a so called global warming? The biggest changes were not caused by us (ie: the ice age)..it's been my opinion on this issue for awhile. If there is a global warming, it would probably happen with or without us.

Liberals are a party just an political view. But your question lacks education SF. The basis is that humans are adding to global warming with pollution and causing more damage to the ozone layer. The key word, ADDING. Not just creating.

I look around and I see it...tell me you're not so biased in your political beliefs that when evidence of global warming happens, you just dismiss it.

You see what? The Earth heating up to a temperature that isn't ideal? Tell me, what is Earth's ideal temperature!

Astro, tell me, what is the ideal temperature of the Earth that would make you say, "Phew! Ok, things are back to normal!" What is it? Tell me!

It's not one temperature that the earth should be staying at.

Most liberals (though I'm not one, I still agree on this subject) believe that man has accelerated the normal heating/cooling process far beyond what it ought to be. Yes, we were in a warming cycle, but the process was supposed to occur over time. Not nearly as rapidly as it currently is heating up.

normal heatingcooling process warming cycle process supposed occur rapidly heating

Now. It is 100% agreed that there have been sharp climbs in temperature before. In fact, we were due for one right around this point in time, and we got it, starting around 1920 or so, and steadily onward from that point.

rapidly heating 100 agreed sharp climbs temperature starting 1920 steadily

We're actually at what *should* be the apex of that climb, and CO2 levels SHOULD be dropping off soon, if this was a natural climb.

However, never before has there been a sustainable, highly increased amount of CO2 in the air. Usually, the temperature goes up and whatever was causing the rise in CO2 dies off.

We're capable of changing our environment to suit ourselves. It will take something *major* to stop us. We're not dying off anytime soon - so how do we stop the rise in CO2?
