It depends on what you call "fair share". When we buy a car, we expect to pay a certain price and not have the price dependant on our income. Same with meals, clothes, and everything else. To have it otherwise would be unfair.
And yet when the government provides roads, education, public lands and parks, police and fire, etc, somehow even though we have equal use and access we say it is fair for some to pay more than others.
Wouldn't it be fair if everyone pays for the services they use? If you are smarter than me should you pay more? If you are better looking than me should you pay more? More famous pay more? Healthier pay more? Stronger pay more? What is different about money and fairness?

Many democrats of wealth say they want to pay higher taxes, but those are just words. As anyone who pays taxes knows at the bottom of the tax form there is a space where those that wish to pay more need only check the reduce the deficit box and enter the extra amount they wish to pay.

The Bible makes the point that a rich person can have a selfish and proud heart due to their reliance on self and pre-occupation with material possessions. It does not, however, mean that they are not loved. Many wealthy persons have had a relationship with Christ. It's what is in their heart that matters to Him.
