We're trying to save it, my friend. We're the ones who think drilling for oil in the middle of Yellowstone National Park isn't the greatest idea. We're the ones who think that 42,000 new record high temperatures in June alone isn't just as George Will said "summer". We're the ones who think that it makes more sense to develop the solar, wind and other nondestructive energy sources that the rest of the world has already done than continuing to pollute the Gulf of Mexico and destroy the drinking water supply of millions of Americans just so Exxon can increase its profit margin. We're also the ones who think it wouldn't be a bad idea that when we do manage to get the world's ecosystem back to some semblance of normal it would be nice if human beings were still around.

There would have been no oil drilling in Yellowstone that is a prime example of propaganda.
Actually natural gas is better for the environment as well as for wildlife and humans. The coal industry had made gains in cleaner burning if you were the ones who are taking care of business then why did you sell the coal business to China?

They hate the rich because they have a harder time controlling their lives.

Not all liberals hate the rich (there are also many, many rich liberals). But from all indications those that constantly complain about it seem to be envious and/or jealous. And the hypocritical fact is that they don't seem to have a problem with the rich liberals.

I'm glad you aren't overstereotyping. Speaking for myself and not for anyone else, I reiterate that I do not in any way "hate the rich". What disturbs me is not that some people have large sums of money, but that for decades our tax code and financial regulations have been increasingly designed to benefit the rich and enable them to get richer while doing little or nothing to benefit anyone who isn't in the top 1%. If Rupert Murdoch or the Koch Brothers - or Oprah or George Soros - make a billion dollars a year, more power to them. But when you say that asking them to pay a little bit more in taxes that will not in the slightest degree affect their chosen lifestyles at all while at the same time saying that you want to cut funding for food stamps or child care or health coverage for senior citizens I have to wonder why anyone would consider that "fairness". It isn't that the rich are rich that rubs the wrong way. It is that increasingly we have a government that only seems to be concerned about the desires of the rich and increasingly seems to ignore the needs of everyone else.

It seems like one of the key differences between Liberals and Conservatives is that conservatives work from the premise that "in order for me to succeed someone has to fail", while liberals work from the premise that "if I help everyone to succeed, I will benefit too."

I don't discuss or debate with liars, hypocrites or dregs of society such as yourself. You have nothing of value to bring to the discussion and all you post are lies and BS. Goodbye.
