Excuse me, but how do you get that Libs and Progs have beautiful minds, when both are in favor of taking the earnings of those who have worked for it and having the government re-distribute it to whoever they feel deserves it? Isn't that just a form of theft and tyranny?

When you distribute taxpayer money to keep people from starving and maintain roofs over their heads, that money is spent. And where does it go? It goes right back up the ladder to the top. An economy built from the middle up OR trickle down yields the same result. The money always finds its way back to the top. Unfortunately, we can't itemize the direction of our taxes to specific programs, or we may find ourselves with no military, or in the event enough people think like you, mass starvation, homelessness and civil chaos. Whether you agree with me or not, it can be said that I understand more than you that the health of this nation depends on people getting out of the personal and reaching into the whole. That responsibility doesn't end at the end of our street. I believe that, and view it as the high road, therefore justifying and legitimizing a beautiful mind.

Sorry, but theft is theft, whether it is at gun point or using the power of government. Taking it from the people who earn it, instead of letting them choose how to help others and who they help is just plain WRONG. Bureaucrats in DC do not have any right to decide who needs help and who doesn't, when it is my money, or yours. If you have the extra money to help somebody, go ahead and help, but neither you, nor the government, has the right to tell me I have to help if I am the one who is being robbed.
