Why do conservatives think they are smarter than liberals even though liberals are proven to be smarter time and time again?

+21Please don't confuse education with intelligence. Often it takes a degree to break something and a GED to fix it. I have noticed that those who squeal about how dumb conservatives are, have never worked outside of the media, politics or academia. 57 States, right?

Look it up....Fact Apple employs 50k in the USA and 500K in China! I never said a word about Steven Jobs politics. I merely told you how a politician used half of a fact for his own gain!
I never claimed they were the only jobs out there! What I did say is that there is an immediate need for many thousands.
Out one side you agree that America needs to manufacture more as a total % of their GDP. Which is a big factor in why the Germans you applaud are not having the same economic troubles.
Then a person who has been in manufacturing ALL his life (me) tells you a need is not being met that is crucial to it you still refute? Wow!

One more thing? I have to say these "All the other guys are..." polls are really getting boring. (no offense American Atheist) Maybe SH should just supply a template and people could just fill in things like; racist, homophobic, socialist, communist, hate monger, ignorant, stupid, idiot, red neck, elitist, etc... and then select the appropriate photo of Hitler or the K.K.K. Then we could all move on to something more constructive.

Shouldn't these smarty pants people be able to understand that when you spend a whole lot more money than you have, more than ever before in history, enough to put your unborn (or un-aborted) grandchildren into hopeless debt, wouldn't you think they would say hey, wait a minute! Maybe we SHOULD read that bill before we vote on it.
Wouldn't these brilliant minds remember that when gas was at $3.00 a gallon, they were harassing then President Bush for being in cahoots with big oil? And would they say something, anything to squeeze the now president Obama to do something other than threaten the oil companies with more expenses? And further, wouldn't those same scholars be able to figure out that if the oil companies have greater expenses, they will simply pass the cost onto the consumer (that's you and me) thereby working against the idea of lowering gas prices?
Why aren't these wizards of knowledge concerned about historically high food prices? The stagnant business climate? Their own Constitutional scholar signing an unconstitutional law?

I mean come on, even the neighbor kid Douglas, the one that got hit in the head with a wind turbine blade? Even Douglas knows when to come in out of the rain. You guys just keep on running into that same old brick wall of facts and telling each other how smart you all are.
I think I would rather hang with Douglas than you dumbbells.
Our ill-advised, fundamentalist positions on gays, abortion, etc. will just have to come along for the ride... right now, the economy must be our top priority. And getting our troops home. And fixing the healthcare fiasco.
That said... I expect you're pretty impressed, about now, yes? :O)
