Why do conservatives think they are smarter than liberals even though liberals are proven to be smarter time and time again?

Please don't confuse education with intelligence. Often it takes a degree to break something and a GED to fix it. I have noticed that those who squeal about how dumb conservatives are, have never worked outside of the media, politics or academia. 57 States, right?

hahahahahaha I just had to answer so I could point out the lack of smartness reflected in the answers here. For example, this answer says smarter even "THOUGHT" science .... what the hell is thought science? Do you mean psychiatry? And then there is this - "think its "liberal." That should be "it's liberal" but hey you got it right the second time. Sheesh! The next time you set out to prove how smart you are maybe you should try a little harder.

Look at what's happening to our economy under a liberal..so much debt that we will never be able to pay it off...I do know these people lie..One good example of this, is the media and history keeps repeating itself,just look at the lies they have been caught in..Who really believes them anymore..well..except for Obama lovers..in wishful thinking.

Obama has created more debt in 3 1/2 years,than Bush did in eight years..To be totally honest.. Obama just need to step down and let someone else try to straighten out this messed up economy..someone that feels like spending more of the taxpayers money.. is not the answer..oh yes,I never was a George Bush fan. However,I do want what's best for my country,and that's definitely not Barack Obama..

That is a incorrect statement if you bother checking the facts the National Debt started to climb, the unemployment started to rise and the stock market started to drop in early 2007. Why check the stock readings and the CBO, the Democrats took full Veto proof control of both houses and in January of 2007 spending started to go through the roof. Anyone who knows about the way the Government is constructed the President can veto a bill "If" he has a chance of not being overridden by the Congress & Senate. Since the Democrats had unfettered control ( could not be over turned) President Bush's veto power meant nothing. SO the statement is not Pres. Bush but the Democratic control Houses caused the debt ceiling to go up and companies to pull back and layoff to stem the storm they seen coming from the Left-wing socialist. And with over 2+ years of veto proof control Obama did "Nothing" to correct the problem he blamed Bush for. Why was that?

Neither is more intelligent. Liberals often have more college degrees, but they aren't necessarily smarter. There are plenty of stupid redneck cons, but aren't there just as many ignorant inner city liberals. Yes, the liberal elite may be more intelligent than the general conservative population because they're privileged.
