It's called self loathing. They look up to people with a lot of money because they do not value themselves. Instead of measuring a person by their deeds, something the fictitious Jesus would approve of, they like to measure people by their accumulated wealth. Measuring people by wealth fits their "only the strongest survive" mentality of the world. They like to think that they are all self-made people who did on their own all while accepting government hand outs in the way of education, roads, our court system and countless other everyday necessities given to them by the government.
Oh, you mean the same Jesus who said "Blessed are the poor; woe to the rich." in the same Bible that states "It's easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven." That Jesus? Interesting! Hypocrisy knows no boundaries now, does it?
I think you have your facts backwards. It's 47% that do not pay tax federal income tax. However, if you do some research you will find that Bush's tax cuts are one of the culprits in making this so.
"In short, it is not that they are not paying their taxes. It is that the country’s tax structure lets them off the hook. Indeed, you can draw a straight line between the Bush tax cuts and the growing number of households exempted from income tax. For instance, the 2001 cuts, extended under the Obama administration, doubled the child tax credit from $500 to $1,000 and expanded eligibility for the Earned Income Tax Credit among married taxpayers. Additionally, the Bush tax cuts lowered income taxes in every bracket, making it easier for a household’s liability to get fully offset by deductions and credits. And on top of all that, the stimulus bill introduced a host of further tax cuts."
As Herman Cain said, "Blame yourself." Kidding.
If your concern is that people aren't paying taxes, shouldn't you have the same concern for corporations who aren't paying taxes or are paying much less taxes than they should like GE and Exxon? Half of our court costs in this country are directly related to corporations who are responsible for less than 10% of our tax base...

The same corporations are holding more than $2 trillion dollars off shore because they don't want to get taxed on it. They've taken their Bush tax cuts and shipped them off shore and now want more tax breaks to bring the money back. However, they have not kept up their part of the bargain with the Bush tax cuts which was to create jobs with the extra money.
My point is the people who are not paying taxes use less of these services than wealthy people and big corporations.
Here's a question I haven't looked up yet. How much would we bring in if we closed the loop holes for the poor people? And another question is, how much would we bring in if we closed all corporate tax loop holes and lowered the corporate tax rate to something like 18 or 20%?
You really need to grow up. Unless of course you are the mental midget you portray yourself to be. LOL You are a shining example of the lack of intelligence of the liberal/progressives.
You haven't done anything but post ridiculous, worthless, incoherent, childish BS. But then again based on everything else you have posted that is to be expected. Why not try posting a question with viable answer choices so you can debate or discuss? Then again when you can't defend the BS you post I guess you just put up the ridiculous crap that you do.
Honesty? LOL No it's your ignorance that is entertaining. You truly are a stellar example of a liberal/progessive. You post BS and think its true. You are also a perfect example of how Obama got elected and it wasn't by intelligent, well informed voters. And you prove that beyond any doubt whatsoever.
We don't hate the rich. I have no ill will against Bono, George Clooney, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Martin Sheen, or any of the rest of those celebrities. I hate the greedy! Big difference. Typical conservative - no counterargument but only denial and namecalling.
Well if wealthy Democrats aren't giving as much as wealthy Republicans, and there are more wealthy Democrats than Republicans; who are the greedy ones?
Actually, the wealthy Democrats ARE giving more. Bill Gates is a Democrat, and he's donated a ton to charity - more so than Mitt Romney, Ted Turner, and all those others.

Just because YOU do doesn't mean anyone else does.
Aha! Nothing like blocking people because you don't want to argue. I'll be sure to slice through both those cinder blocks with my katana.
