None of the choices here give the correct answer. The GOP and Fox are much too close. Fox did not want it, because to be the host of all the GOP debates would illustrate who they really are. MSNBC took it because they knew that with the candidates running they would get a lot of ammo for their shows. They were proven right.

You have to bait the lion in his lair. If they would have had the debates on FOX, the would have been preaching to the choir, and picked up no new votes.
