Why Did 95% of Blacks vote for Obama, if it's not his color?

According to CNN, 95% of blacks voted for now president Obama in the 2008 presidential election. How do they argue they aren't mostly racists? If 95% of a high school was black, then the City would lose a discrimination lawsuit based on the number alone.

So the question is, since whites split pretty evenly between McCain and Obama, why are they more often labeled racists, than blacks who (unless somebody shows me otherwise), apparently vote based on skin color?

95% voted for Obama and 90% of Black voters usually vote Democrat; 92% voted for Al Gore, 90% for Clinton and so on.

In addition only about 65% out of 42 million voted; so out of that 65%, 95% voted for Obama.

Oh, and by the way; Asians, Jews, Hispanics and College kids all showed more voter turnout for the Democrats in 2008, than before.

Why did White voters vote for Bush, Nixon, Jimmy Carter, Woodrow Wilson, FDR etc....let's not play these games?

vote bush nixon jimmy carter woodrow wilson fdr play games

According to the US Census Bureau, 68.1% of all Black men and 62.3% of Black women over the age of 16 are in the civilian labor force, compared to 73% of white men, and 59.9% of white women. With racial discrimination and other challenges, more of us are still working than sitting at home.
While the majority of poor people in America are Black, the majority of Black people are NOT poor. Of the 42 million Blacks in this nation, 8.1 million have incomes below the poverty line.

In addition; most who live below the poverty line still work.

Of course they are racists...and they will never let this 'civil rights ' thing go either. We are 'all' truly victims of 'civil rights', white, black or anything else. There is 'always' 'favoritism' in the workplace.. Some Personnel Directors, do not like hiring 'fat', or 'old', or 'Psoriasis', or 'unattractive'.... or Italians, or other race..Black 'do not' have a 'monopoly' on Racial Basis.......Get over it.. You have a pretty crappy President who is 'doing nothing' for you.. but 'taking advantage of you.. and catering to Hollywood and not you !! Don't be so damn stupid....

Duh, President Obama's Education! college graduation cap and gown

Your education, or lack thereof will show you that color of the student doesn't matter. It is not even important. What matters is the intelligence of the student!
When it came to 1 candidate having a good education vs the other candidate being just like that moron from Texas, color was not the issue! Although i may have been born white, i voted for Obama! President Obama was the better candidate! Most of the other white college professors that i knew and worked with, had also voted the same way!

Because they see a leader that doesn't sees color, but see people of one Nation. President Obama is a humanitarian leader and people will flock to them regardless of their color, their creed, their background, or their origin, it just doesn't matter.

Blacks and Hispanics overwhelmingly vote Democrat anyways. This topic is old and tired out. If blacks were voting purely on race then Al Sharpton and Jesse would have won their primaries.

So long story short, you're basically pissed because it's Obama's black half in office you've got a problem with? Why don't you just use that "tribal" attitude of yours and get pissed with the white folks that did vote for and WILL vote for him again?

I just find it annoying that any judgmental comment made against the black culture is construed as racism, yet most blacks are clearly more racist than I am. I feel relatively safe walking through a rough Asian neighborhood, yet black teenagers attempt to mug my brother and me (they literally tried to tackle my brother and hit me in the face to which we then retaliated) for having the audacity to walk through "their neighborhood" as they called it.

I see a higher rate of blacks arrested for violent crimes than their population - especially when compared to other races and I see a problem. It's not like I dislike individual blacks, I've helped many with specific problems like food, housing and gasoline. Although I did notice that other blacks don't bother me when I'm with black friends - although once my friend had to verbally reprimand other blacks who began to abuse me.

Lie? It's a personal experience and I don't doubt blacks suffered the same treatment at the hands of whites back in the 70's and maybe occasionally now. But it happens quite often to whites by blacks now.

So somehow YOUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE accounts for your 95% figure and yet my personal experiences don't allow for me to pose the question as to why 99.9% of whites vote for a white candidate? Newsflash, it will always be dependent upon where one lives as to what kind of racism, reverse or otherwise, one has to deal with.

Not likely, I am also white. Unlike you, however, i have lived in 29 other countries. I have seen first hand how the "white ethics" have been used to financially suppress, cripple, murder and kill. Meanwhile, the white majority, use their power to support their claim of higher standards!

Doesn't it seem ironic to have only white guards in "black" prisons?

Thank you! Finally, someone with common sense. All black people complain about everything. They all want free handouts by the government. They perpetuate the stereotypes of blacks(ghetto, thugs, baby mama drama) and then complain when any comment perceived as judgmental is "racist".

If they don't like it, maybe they should go back to africa ???

Unclepat, don't take it to hard, a lot of rePUBlicans lack the ability to do research. That requires reading and studying. Instead, they just make up their favorite game called "Numbers Spin" and call them facts!

    Number Spin

This way, it is much easier. Now, Republicans never have to admit lack of understanding or research on their part. =)

If Howard Stern said it, it's a waste of time to even listen to! When he was on the air in Chicago, Howard used to say he liked using shock value or just making things up just to get people pissed off!

You should try research that is from the Associated Press vs Howard Stern and Jerry Spring'error, that is, if you want to be taken seriously... =D Try doing research sober

    The best part of this is when the hosts admit that they are not qualified to vote. {Aprox. 4:30ish into this listen.}

I know most would vote Democrat anyway but I heard too many say that they did vote for color (and quite a few Hispanics and whites have also said it) to discount it. I am sure that it played a big part in the overall feeling they had about the vote. As bad as he as been I sure it will play into this coming election also.
