Why Democrats and Obama keep pushing gun controls Think about this and you decide

Interesting slant on things

AMERICA'S HUNTERS --- Pretty
Amazing!

The world's largest army... America's hunters!

I had never thought about this...

A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and
arrived at a striking conclusion:

There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin.

Allow me to restate that number:
Over the last several months, Wisconsin's hunters became the eighth largest army in the world.

More men under arms than in Iran.

More than France and Germany combined.

These men deployed to the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin,
to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.

That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan's 700,000 hunters, all of whom have now returned home safely.

Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world.

And then add in the total number of hunters in the other 46 states.
It's millions more.

The point?

America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.

Hunting.... it's not just a way to fill the freezer.. It's a matter of national
security.

***************************************
That's why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed. Especially those who are liberal / progressive frame of mind. Think about all of those in congress and the whitehouse who have made no bones about outlawing guns.

(Food for thought, when next we consider gun control.)

-------------------------------------
Overall it's true, so if we disregard the assumption that hunters don't possess the exact same skills as soldiers, the question would still remain... what army of 2 million would want to face 30, 40,
50 million armed citizens.

(IF YOU AGREE, AS I DO, PASS IT ON, I FEEL GOOD THAT WE HAVE AN ARMY OF MILLIONS WHO WOULD PROTECT OUR LAND AND I SURE DON'T WANT THE GOVERNMENT TAKING THAT AWAY FROM US.)

For the sake of our freedom, don't ever allow gun control or confiscation of guns.
You!

Simple to control the citizens of a country you must first disarm those citizens, as in Nazi Germany and the Communist countries of Russia (then USSR) and China no guns the people have no freedom or rights. We are now at the threshold of either losing our Constitution and freedom for ever or removing a Socialist Traitor in November.

If for example. King Odumba made to law that gun ownerships are illegal. Every gun owner claimed that their guns were stolen. I bet King Odumba and Eric Holder will order illegal searches of each houses to seize guns. One question comes into mind. If King Odumba wants to make owning guns illegal. Then why the heck are the illegals in the US legal in King Odumba's dead brain?

Good point there Bud. Firearms are either a hobby, a business or a sport. King Odumba wants to arm the criminals only while leaving the defenseless vulnerable.

A U.N. resolution that Hillary and Obie agreed to smells like something is very wrong. If America is to survive our crooked govenment and leaders for profit. We better watch them closely too. The curtailed availablity of ammo has shown another attempt to sneak something past the Americans. Lose your gun, lose your independence. Want something like NDAA for your defense?

Most liberals do not even realize that with the help of guns,Americans for centuries have protected our land & our people. Maybe the liberals feel they will be the hunted if they don't eliminte the guns from the armed citizens of AMERICA.
THIS SHOULD NEVER BE CHNAGED OR FORGOTTEN !!

Marshal Law is coming and the President is grabbing all the power he can - Check out the White House Website and see all the EO he has put forward. You do not have to be a conspiracy theorist to note that there is something wrong with a President obsessed with unconstitutional EO - or a congress right and left that is doing nothing about it.

"Considering the many international security agreements the traitors occupying our highest seats of power have entered into, this latest executive order can absolutely be used to institute gun confiscation laws/regulations, without any consent by our Congress or our Judicial. And once these foreign laws are brought to the United States under the various security agreements, foreign troops will be brought in to enforce the foreign laws upon the people of the United States."

The Republicans are the ones who are so obsessed with being "tough on crime" and getting criminals off the streets. They're the main reason we have the highest prison population in the world. They are the ones who've turned SWAT raids into normal, everyday occurrences. They're the ones who've turned "our" peace officers into the standing armies that terrified the Founding Fathers so much--and armed them with military style weapons and vehicles.

I'm not claiming Democrats are innocent, by any means. The sheep are the ones who are pretending one "side" or other is the only guilty party. They've been working together on this for a long time. And we've gotten suckered into believing there's some meaningful difference.

The drug war's a bigger problem than drugs ever were.

Prohibition didn't work in the 20's, it isn't going to work now, and it never will work. All it accomplishes is pushing people to take harder, more dangerous drugs that give them more bang for their buck. Some people are going to get high, and the rest of us just need to accept that.

How much good could have been done if all that money had been spent on things like education, treatment, and rehab? How many lives would have been saved? Maybe a few more lives would have been ruined, but is it really that much better to be locked up than stoned? Or just out of pain?

I know an old guy who hasn't been able to find anything except pot to help with seizures and pain he's had his entire life. He spent two years in prison for it. He's diabetic, and they screwed up his insulin. It nearly killed him. He basically lost everything he owned. I really doubt it did anything to discourage his "habit".

I know of another guy who got addicted to some sort of harmless pain meds in the emergency room with a broken back. Unfortunately, it's on one of the restricted lists because it is addictive. So he's stuck gulping things like Tylenol that are destroying his liver.

It's long past time to admit this approach isn't working and try something different,...

OTOH, I think the "War on Terror" has been even worse, in a lot of ways. All the money going to the military-industrial complex is crippling the economy. Things like warrantless wiretaps, indefinite detention without charges or trial, the TSA, drones monitoring our skies, endless wars with no definable enemy, the FBI using entrapment to make up bogeymen with idiotic "terrorist" plots so it looks like they're doing something.

Much like cracking down on doctors who prescribe pain meds give them cheap, easy busts for their resumes.

I'm not giving the Democrats a pass, by any means. One of the major sets of Obama's campaign promises was to roll back this stuff and give us some of our freedom back. Instead he just stepped things up another notch and made most of them worse.

Oh, definitely. Over the weekend, I had a *long* conversation about the evil/stupidity of people in general.

The question, really, seems to be "How do we protect the kids from parents who should know better?" I think the rest of it is just details. Most of us seem to be lost in the details. Forest for the trees sort of stuff.
