Why Can't Those Who Voted For Obama Admit They Were Duped and Now Do the Right Thing to Help America Recover?

How does one so adamantly defend and support this administration and sleep at night? Is it because they feel they are somehow exempt from taking responsibility for their mistake or even admitting to it? Is it retribution, ego, or just pure blind hatred for those who dare cling to a differing opinion? Are they just addicted to always being right?

Admitting you are wrong is associated with high self esteem.
Self-esteem is
that feeling of value you place on yourself based on your
view of your past
history, your body, and your thoughts.

Admitting you are wrong is associated with resourcefulness. Low
self-esteem
makes a person less resourceful and prone to being addicted
to being right. A
person who is able to admit being wrong is more
resourceful because he
believes he has the right to develop new
capabilities.

Admitting to being wrong creates an environment of
tolerance, not just
personal tolerance, but tolerance of others.
Admitting your wrong creates
open-mindedness.

Those who never retract their opinions love themselves more than they
love
truth.--Joseph Jouber

Although all of the above was my choice for an answer...in reality, liberals don't tolerate a different opinion, and refuse to reason or listen to the other side. They will find out for themselves, when they learn they were wrong about the fraud, and then blame someone else for their misunderstanding.

I did not vote for him and will not vote for him again. Once he was elected, I hoped he would follow through with all the things he promised. Well, he not only hasn't done a thing he promised ( well, he Did bring change, just not the change I expected!). Another four years of his attacks on our rights will bury the America we have always been proud of! I don't understand the liberal point of view, unless it is they Want these Marxist policies in place. Somehow, I don't think they will be as happy with it as they think.

The extreme left like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Henry Waxman, Richard Durbin, Babara Boxer, Maxine Waters and Leahey have hijacked the democratic party.....until the GOP gets control of both houses again, nothing will get done.......the spending will only increase and our freedoms more and more will be threatened.......

The danger to America is not Barack 0bama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency.

It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an 0bama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president.

The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. 0bama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America.

Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack 0bama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

Very well said......Obama should not have been elected in the first place.....that confirms what you just stated so well......we have a systemic problem with an entitlement society that believes that big government is the answer to guarantee you food, housing, health insurance and free education from cradle to grave......that's not a democracy.....that's totalitarian socialism or at worst communism......we'll be a total european style socialist country in 10 years or less......or communism-dictatorship at worst in 20....we're setting a very bad precident for the survival of the free enterprise capitalistic system......forget about individual wealth......

We have not been duped. President Obama has done a remarkable job in very difficult circumstances. If the Republicans would work with him to help the american economy rather than spending all their time trying to sabotage his policies (since their stated number one goal has been to make him a "one term President") things would have gone even better.

President Obama has earned my respect and my vote for a second term. I will be working hard to ensure that President Obama has a second term in which to complete his work of repairing the American economy.

Since you have so much faith in the man maybe you can get a message to him to please work on raising the value of my home, have him concentrate on helping the man two doors down get another job in engineering in the corporate world, call my local gas station and get the price down so my friends and I can feel comfortable tooling around town again trying to find a nice restaurant in which to have lunch. At this point it's all about ME and he has done nothing, zilch, zero, nada for me. The man is not a leader in any way shape or form. He's a disgrace. Oh yeah he has succeeded in dividing this nation as no other president ever has. It's all such a shame and this has been nothing but a sham.

The President has been working to accomplish all of those things, and more. If the GOP would make the people of this country, and not their agenda for the election, their priority we would all be much better off.

What a sad and pathetic recovery for Obama to have to campaign on!

Especially when you factor in the job loses BEFORE the November 2010 elections that broke the Democrats' complete control of Congress.

    You want a compelling argument?

1.7 trillion to the FED first month in office. Got torture LEGALIZED while lying, saying he was closing Guantanamo Bay. Lost America's AAA rating, botched the Gulf spill disaster, being crowned head of the UN (unconstitutional). His health care bill with 14 provisions for new taxes that removed free care for children under 12. 5 that's right, 5 new conflicts! He signed the NDAA when he promised he wouldn't ! Or what about the martial law acts? He has increased the national debt more than any other president in history, and that's in just three years! All to give to the richest institutions in the world. On and on and on, like his signing statements and pocket vetoes. Or Fast and Furious, and Solyndra, didn't he promise the most transparent presidency? ALL LIES !! Look at the economy! You cant even get a bag of chips for a dollar any more, whats the price of a can of coke? He is stealing right out of our pockets thru inflation. Look at GAS! This comes from an Obama voter in 2008, boy did he make a fool out of me.

In 100 years the truly educated will see this president as one of the worst in history.

If anyone was duped it was Obama. He wins an election with many plans and 3 weeks before inauguration is told our financial system is going off a cliff. Did Bush and Obama let it go off a cliff? No they didn't. They both acted immediately and did pretty much the same things. If you think you could have done better, to turn around the Great Recession in a shorter time with an obstructionist congress... why aren't you up there in Washington?

There are some who simply cannot admit that they were duped or were wrong and will continue on their merry way no matter what.

I do know of some people though who have admitted that they were duped and will not be voting for him again this time around.

Now if we can just keep the dead from voting. Should we post guards at the cemetery gates?
