It's simple. You have a choice to drive or not drive, You now have no choice in weather or not to buy health insurance.
Why do you have so much trouble with that concept?, or do you like having the Federal Government running your life for you?
Why can most states require residents to have auto insurance and no hell is raised but requiring health insurance which is way more useful causes a huge uproar ?

You were right..That NOT all State require you to purchase auto insurance..Whereas EVERYONE HAS to have health insurance..
There lies the BIG difference..
With Love..In Christ.. :o)
((((((( HUGS ))))))
Health insurance that you refer to was decided upon and pushed by one man.
Congress did not vote on it, as is required of all new taxes, and thus while it may be standing now; it is illegal to enforce.
One must take the responsibility of having insurance if one opts to own an automobile.
Forcing Americans to purchase something (i.e. Health Insurance) is or should be unconstitutional.
The court said it wasn't constitutional. Which is true. Libs got around it as a penalty tax. If you don't buy insurance you pay a fine which the IRS will be in charge of.
PS. Personally, I do not agree with having to buy car insurance. It is extortion.
Why do you have so much trouble with that concept?, or do you like having the Federal Government running your life for you?
1. When you have cause a car accident that I am involved in, you have to pay for the damage to my car. I want to make sure that I will indeed be payed. If you get sick, but don't have health insurance, that's a problem that impacts you, but you do not have a financial obligation to pay me anything.
2. You do not have to drive and so do not have to purchase auto insurance. You do have to live, and so, would be forced to purchase health insurance. So, you have a choice with auto insurance, you would not with health insurance.
3. Mandated health insurance seems like the first step in a progression towards a single payer system. That is a scary prospect to many of us,
owning 1 requires certain responsibilities
but now that it's legal to FORCE everyone to buy something they don't want
can it be to far done the road, to where everyone will be FORCED to own a chevy volt
or Forced to eat the evil weed, Brocrolli?
did you get a waiver?
I didn't get a waiver
hell, I didn't even get a cornhusker kickback,
or any of that louisania Purchase
